I've always had trouble painting with SAI too :< It blends colors beautifully though, but then I get a little too excited and make everything end up like... like a rainbow smoothie :<

In a great bout of irony, here's some more (tiny bit) ~anime~ than usual doodles (with no painting lololol)

So the mock premise is that there are ~magical electronics~ that can do ~magical things~. Also there would be a goddamn tournament (that the readers would all hate) like any good SHONEN FIGHT MANGA.

-A USB that's really a lightsaber- I mean ENERGY SWORD. Can cut through anything, !!BE CAREFUL WHEN USING IT LIKE A USB!!
-A megaphone that spits out salute-notes and makes whoever they attach to mob-zombies that bend to the megaphoner's shouted commands.

Some others that I might draw/concept for thought:
-The digital pet device - GROWS A "REAL" PET, it appears to be in delicious <128 bit graphics. (it'scutethatwayok) There are also a billion of this kind since it's fairly simple. !!Eats batteries/Aluminum Cans!!
-Laser pointer - it's like a shotgun AND a laser! !!"Shooting" with it eats up the battery!!
-Cellphone #1 - it does cellphone game bullshit, like typing in someone's cellphone + *(and an actual number, up to 9) will make that cellphone discharge electricity at that "magnitude", 1 will be a mild jolt, 9 would fry the hell out of them (50% chance of death) but also destroy the cellphone
-Cellphone #2 - more cellphone game bullshit, picture + birthday (of the person in the picture) = INFO HAX trolololol
-Cellphone #3 - more cellphone game bullshit, "Curse Forward", create a chain mail and spam for profit, user must exercise caution when creating the chain mail as they are not immune to it either
-Recharger - the most broken reality breaking item, can convert electricity into heals/extra mans when applied to LIVING things

"Dated" Tech
-Watch (traditional) - gain a blade that has valley/peak power, around 12 = high power, around 6 = low power
-Corded Phone - teleports to other CORDED phones !!Somehow it takes the "original" phone along for the ride, don't question it!!
-Flashlight -can send out a blast of electricity !!"Shooting" eats up a battery and risks breaking the bulb!!
-Pager - find anyone!

November Challenge, character #1 8V:

....I don't know either. My mind just cobbled it together, I think I was thinking of "autumn' or something. So apparently about dogs, insects and for some reason, sci-fi.

Anyway some blobby info. This is a type of alien creature is on the low end of "intelligent species", enough to understand languages to have an average conversation but not enough to create a substantial amount of "cultural creativity" from it- they can formulate fiction as long as a a short story but not to the extent of a long novel (however with heavy assistance this can be achieved, quality is another story however). As such they are considered a "good" species are they are simple, and for the most part honest in that they are awful at fabrication.

The species strength lies in crafting from minerals as well as finding this minerals, their digits are capable of great dexterity; but despite the digits' frail appearance, they are capable of cleaving through bedrock when sufficient force is applied. Other parts of the species culture lies in crafting armor for themselves- as a whole they also seem to find iridescent surfaces aesthetically pleasing. It is not uncommon for them to hoard objects that possess this quality.

SO ANYWAY, I failed the November challenge gloriously, I'll be posting the others that I got to as well as a brief description of them. All of these were done in SAI.

A robo-dude who is a revamp from a REALLY OLD COMIC that has not seen the light of day and I'll be damned if I can ever find the original. Take my word for it that he is a thousand times better. He is named Adross (wat) and when he is not in disdain mode is in stare mode is in "I am looking for [plot] components" mode. He is plot-friends with a reporter lady who salvages him from "the greatest technological breakin in recent history". He is supposed to have ceased function but is now illegally active in her home since she figures if she can someday retrieve the data from his robobrain she'll have an amazing story on her hands.

Clarice is the best maker of anything clothy and ornately sewn, it's amazing how she is able to carry the rather large loads and still find time to delicately sew in designs on her wares. She is very down to earth, a little unread but very much good hearted. She could be rich if she charged more for her cloth but believes the money is "better spent on the soup kitchen, I'm fine as I am".

Qui is an in-training security of sorts. She practices her arts on criminals since there are no local police or patrol in her village. She gets complimentary soups from the local diners for making the streets a better place. She gets a custard pie for every dine-n-dasher she drags back to the respective resatuarant- despite this, everyone ensures she keeps away from the dishes as she is wont to disregarding it's fragility when someone tries to break the "law" in her vicinity.

Margine is fairly spoiled, but rather than flaunt her wealth she merely wallows naively and lazily in it. Woes of the outside rarely meet her ears and her wit on such matters is dull because of how often word of the outside is silenced before it reaches her. She finds most matters of flowery literature dull and stories of business quite fascinating (when she manages to get a hold of them). Ironically enough she is quite good at finances and were she not kept in the golden cage supplied by her family, she would probably own quite the business empire.

Amilie possesses a decently average life of schooling and working within the family business. She does suitable work for her family (working at a bakery) but only truly puts her all into tinkering away at her (salvaged) SkyBoard. Because of her recklessness (or perhaps, lack of fear) when it comes to testing out her board, she is no stranger to injury and it is a feat in of itself that she hasn't lost a limb or killed herself along the way. She still has yet to have made the board truly fly but she doesn't let the lack of progress hold her back.

Olia is a shrewd woman, often called "Wicked Luck", she spends most of her time gambling since she considers it one of the most refined forms of risk-taking, the other being hunting exotic game. She came into her wealth through her late husband's fortune and through her own investments and the rather convenient misfortune of her opponents/rivals, come to enjoy a comfortable life. She runs a business keen on lending and she often spends it on charity or "gambling" it on seekers who need investment for their long-shot ideas- with varying results. Those who return her investments tend to enjoy a good life and those who try to scam her find their lives cut short.

You have a nice and relaxed though consistent style, which is very professional. I'd imagine you don't deal with a bunch of proportion mistakes on your characters from one picture to another, cause you look like you have a solid handle on it. I like your style. I am curious though, your mock Anime characters, are they Maka from Soul Eater and Kite from .Hack?

Thank you kindly, but there's always room for improvement! As for the possible dopples- I honestly wasn't thinking or aiming for them but I can see where you could see that from there. (And I don't intentionally maliciously mock "Anime Characters", it's more of a light jab about how kids always seem to find these world-altering things.)

And since I'd like to have all posts have some kind of art in it, here's a boob-butt that I neglected to cross-post here. It might be commentary on how female breasts in drawn mediums sometimes undergo nipple removal surgery to look like butts. (Or it could be that someone was posting about butts and I just had to chime because it seemed funny at the time, take your pick.)

!!COMIC CROSS PROMOTION!!

Would you like some exposure for the upcoming new year?
How about an art trade of sorts?

If you have 20+ pages (posted) for your comic and have updated at least once this month, I'd like to do a comic art promo exchange with you! I'll draw something that promotes your comic and you simply do the same as well, I will also post a comic plug that promotes your comic 8)

There is no real deadline and you are free to set the terms of how simple or complex you want your art to be, but bear in mind you will likely have to match it (ie: lineart, flat colors, painting, etc.). The promotions themselves will be done when both of us have finished and I will post the promo link during my regular updates (I'm not going to ask you to do the same, but you are free to).

Things to consider:
-How busy you are. Please carefully consider your available time, don't take this up unless you're sure you want to participate, slots are limited.
-Because we'll be "matching" what way the art will turn out (lineart only, flats, painter style, etc.), do something you're comfortable with!
-You may want to think about what kind of fans might be visiting your comic after I promote it, if you are not comfortable with that prospect then it might not be best for you to do it, but I have no problem with doing just a regular art trade if you want, but do specify!
