That's a bit vague, care to elaborate on it?

Ahaha, sorry about what a recurring feature it is in my stories, then.

SpiralPen wrote:ALSO! I challenge you to draw Melty in full nude! You've taken the first step into nude practice and the waters are welcoming and rewarding! Once you've become comfortable drawing naked figures, it helps the rest of anatomy fall into place very well, in my experience!

Yeah, I've been planning to do so eventually. I've already made some rough attempts that simply weren't posted here, but it wouldn't surprise me if Melty wound up being the first full nude I post here. :P

SpiralPen wrote:Speaking of which, I'm down for hearing more about the Project Guardian-verse.

*And the WOE-verse by proxy since they're in the same universe~

Well I take it you're talking of the immortality thing? I'll start with that.

Well basically, there are certain laws and rules of the Universe, natch, and beings that manage to break certain laws in certain ways become "glitched," usually resulting in losing their ability to move on to the After Realm. An Immortal can still have their body destroyed, but the Universe will simply rebuild the body over time, (proportionate to how powerful the body was,) rather than letting it's soul pass on, because it only understands that being as it was before becomming immortal, (which is also why they do not age or significantly change. An immortal cannot age, become pregnant, fall ill, starve, lose senses without the destruction of ears/eyes, etc. Hair and nails can still grow, however, but at a much slower rate.)
One of the more common methods of becoming Immortal is to be revived from death. A power in and of itself that is law-breaking, which is why it leads to the "glitched" revived individual.

The only other type of being that is incapable of dying and moving to any sort of After Realm are Universes themselves.
However just as certain beings have the power to revive the dead, there are beings/exceptions to Immortals and Universes being unkillable as well;
- Beings "pre-determined" to die if conditions are met, even if said beings are Immortals, will die and move on to the After Realm once the conditions are met.
- [Secret~]
- The Darksmith can kill Atredo of their own creation, whom are otherwise unkillable. (They are given special authority and priority in the Universe, allowed to break many laws. Although individually none are powerful enough to destroy the Universe.)
- [Secret~]
- Although Universes cannot die, they can collapse and become inaccessible, with all things within them destroyed. (There's an extra note to this I won't reveal quite yet.)

Now, why all the plural? The EthereaVerse has no "parallel Universes", but the Universe itself is capable of having smaller ones created within it. Think of these Universes as instances of a sort, that some beings are powerful enough to create. However these Universes are still bound by the overarching Universe's laws and rules, and do not contain their own After Realms.

Whew.
Now if you wanted to know more specifics of the Project Guardian era Earth, feel free to ask, but I'll eave it at this for now.

Yeah, now that you mention it they kind of are. Nothing a quick tweak can't fix, though.

With my experience with women with body types like this, they usually have larger areolas/nipples. At least from my personal observation... she's got some thickness on her. Didn't know you have a slant towards these types of women.

Anyways, if you do plan on doing more nudes on a regular basis, it actually helps to be self indulgent and draw your favorite models and porn stars as some warm ups. Or do you already do this...?

I'll take note of all that, thanks for the tips~

*EDIT*
Well since I tossed up an edit after Apa's advice, I guess I can do another. Does this look a bit better? Or still a bit small?
Spoiler! :

I love how easy Flash makes it to do quick tweaks. Although what I really need to do is buckle down and do some new shots, but I think I've been in too much of a game mood today after all the drawing I did yesterday.

Okay, some more Melty and then that'll be it for now. (Sorry, no full frontal yet.)
And uhh... Yeah, spoiler'd for moar NSFW.
Spoiler! :

As you can see I added a lil' beauty mark under her left eye. I feel it's fitting on a gal like her.

I believe this thread now has an acceptable amount of booty, so time to move on for a bit, starting with some doodles.
As much as I enjoy builds like Melty's I don't want anyone to forget that this thread isn't Seven's fantasy world, (I've wanted to draw a gal like her to pair up with a shota for some time,) I enjoy drawing variety, so I opened a new Flash file and just spent a bunch of time drawing whatever my boredom took me to. (Although once again there's a bit of nudity, so spoiler'd for NSFW.)

Ohohohoho, Ixis... Sorry for being a creep.
I'm not funny.

And no. No I do not know why I made Chipp quote Muhammad Ali.

But I did.
Spoiler! :
Also, here's a raw, full-size version. Decreasing it's size messed up the quality a tad bit, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to share one that hasn't been resized.

It's a concept/prototype for a weapon that will appear in WOE.

Spoiler! :
And you may or may not have already seen it's user~

Re: SR's Weeabootorium: "Learning to Walk Again" Edition

Postby Seven Rain » December 16th, 2012, 12:43 am

Okay so here's the deal; For over four years now I've been using Corel Photo-Paint for all of my blurring and special effects needs, and I'm talking way back. I used this thing for Black Jack long before WOE even started.

Buuut it wasn't a legit copy. Sorry. If you weren't already aware that I'm a dirty pirate and have now lost respect for me, so be it. I didn't have the money for it back then and guess what? I still don't. Fuck Corel for trying to sell this program exclusively in a bundle of other shit I don't need for half a grand, but I digress.

The software itself apparently became wise to my shenanigans and started giving me a warning that I "might be using a pirated copy." Well, me and my brain being me and my brain, I panicked. Hard. I'm not a fan of change when it comes to my art methods and had zero luck in the past finding software that could let me do what CPP let me do. (I was freaking out so bad I went to a certain anonymous message board to ask /g/ if I should worry or ignore it, part of me still in denial that it was anything but a scare tactic until I realized the increasing severity of the warning message.)

After hurriedly rushing around the Internet for alternatives I stumbled upon a shining ray of hope that had been in front of my nose for years. A friend to many, called Gimp.
I'm still getting used to it, but the brushes and effects are damn near perfect, and will do just as good a job as Corel's did, if not better, the more I get used to the program. In fact, here's an image from back during the Feb. Challenge that I've been using to test out a variety of new effects;
Image

So far I'm pleasantly surprised with how quickly I'm adapting, but certain UI quirks are still throwing me off, especially having to export images instead of simply hitting Ctrl-S.
I'm also still working on replicating one of my most-used effects achieved with Corel's tools. I believe I'm close to matching it in Gimp, though.
Spoiler! :
I'd be lying if I said the floating tool windows didn't bother me. Is there a way to attach them to the work space so that everything is just one window...?

Anyways, yeah. Things miiight look a bit different in the special effects department of my artwork from now on. It might get worse, it might get better, it might stay the same, all depending on how I grow into using Gimp. I'll try my damnedest not to let this slow WOE remaking down, though. Breaking for video games lately has already slowed things down way too much.

Spoiler! :
And one last thing; Sorry for the lack of new artwork with this post. Hope it doesn't seem spammy... I just felt it was better to post this here than to update WOE with an unnecessary post about having to use a different program for effects.
... It does feel a little too much like one of my WOE news comments than a Creative Showcase post, though... Bleh, I'll try drawing some actual new stuff tomorrow to make up for this.

*EDIT*
Hmm... Since I didn't really get any feedback on this earlier I'll go ahead and quote it over here.
Seven Rain wrote:So I've been rolling around this idea in my head for some time and wouldn't mind some feedback on it...
Since my comics all take place in and revolve around an expanded universe, I've been trying to think of an interesting way of linking them together on SJ as well as a way to work on different stories at different times, (of course this is all future talk here. Won't be juggling comics until after making MUCH more progress on WOE,) without having a list of comics on hiatus all the time.

So what I've been thinking about doing is sort of a beefed-up version of the method I use to make individual character pages. By that I mean I want to make a central comic that would serve as a hub of sorts, (in fact I'll refer to it as "the hub" from now on to make things easier,) with links to all of the comics in my universe, along with pages for lore and a timeline. The actual separate comics would all be invisible on SJ and simply linked to from the hub, and I would add update pages to the hub in order to let fans know that one of the comics has updated.

For example: If I were to be taking a break from WOE to update The Blackjack Chronicles, I'd upload a new "update" page with little preview shots and whatnot to the hub to let readers know that The BJC just updated.

So instead of having an active comic above a list of several different "Updated _ months ago." comics listed on my profile, fans of my comics can just add the hub to their favorites and see whenever any of the EthereaVerse comics update.
This whole plan would also make it easier to toss up little side stories and less serious comics that aren't updated as often as major stories.

Of course at the end of the day I assume people can still add invisible comics to their faves if they like, leaving this method more or less just a way to keep my profile comic list from getting cluttered as well as giving me a good central site to add extra stuff to like the aforementioned lore/timeline/miniseries/etc.

It sounds like fun despite the limited practicality of it, I'm just wondering if I'm overlooking any big potential flaws.

I guess this would be a better place to ask about it since this is the thread several of my fans will be checking out.

*EDIT*
Gah, didn't get around to doing much drawing today, but I at least whipped up a new Lumm pic. I figured it was only fair since I did so much Melty artwork, and watching the Goo Goo Dolls Live in Buffalo concert earlier today put me in the mood to draw more of the little 90's incarnate;

Wearing an outfit that pays tribute to Johnny Rzeznik no less. This was a fun one to draw.

Haha, it was in reference to learning new software, but yeah. I can try that next time I'm in a drawing mood.
Might even insert Lumm in there somewhere since I've already drawn him paying tribute to the Goo.
