One: the music demo will probably be up today. If not, tomorrow. I will post here.

Two: I had an idea for the story. Instead of having the sponsors, government, whatever, force the characters into battle, why not just have them battle? From the looks of things, lots of them don't really seem to need a reason for fighting each other. Instead, we could just focus on the characters and scenes like we have been doing in the google doc. I think it would make it better.

Sounds like a lot of good ideas! I personally agree that a story following individual characters would be a lot more interesting than characters being forced to fight due to the government. We can also make it some kind of a tournament where there's a prize, or maybe there's just a bunch of misunderstandings between all of them. Honestly, I think that if they fight due to individual motives, they will be much more engaged in a fight, which would be more interesting to watch and animate than if they were just being bullied around and fighting their friends (I mean, I loved the movie Spartacus, but I feel like with the characters we have right now, it just wouldn't work, because they all just look like they want to fight.) Not to say we can't have the government in this or anything, either.

I think we should find a way in which all the characters are linked, like some common problem that they're all looking to fix. Whatever works.

That was a lot of rambling. I am so tired, so if I'm saying things that contradicts itself or sounds like criticism or something, I promise I don't mean it, I'm just not taking the time to say exactly what I mean, just because right now I don't have the energy to significantly contribute but I don't want to just stop coming by, because I'm really excited about this projects.
Just have finals for the next 3 weeks. I feel like I'm going to die. Whine.

The only sort of blimp things I'm familiar with in shows is something like Avatar: The Last Airbender.

But maybe we can do like, steampunk blimp pirates or something. I mean it, static machinery is way easier to animate than characters. And plus we totally already have that fabulous hot air balloon.
Yeah. I like this idea of blimps. And sky fighting. Sky fighting is cool, plus less backgrounds (we can totally have them fighting with clouds in the background.)

The government controlling idea was more when we had no idea of theme and were thinking INTERDIMENSIONAL!!!

Now that we've settled on theme, we now have the ability to get more close-and-personal with characters, who can now have their own reasons for fighting, other than [FORCING]

BATTLE. ZEPPELIN.

Zeppelins + a Battle Island? (fight in the air, or the jungle, or a small town, or mines, or city, or mountains, etcetera)
Use zeppelins to travel unless they lose them, or choose to travel otherwise.
Could potentially end up with people having to band together to survive.

Battle islands also sound wunderbar, and I had completely forgotten about those movies and what is wrong with me I haven't kept updated on Korra. So my next course of action is to watch those movies and shows (except Lost)

Me toooo. Just thought, since we were talking about finding a villain or some sort of antagonist, we now require someone to need the mcguffin in front of everyone's faces. (Maybe just the characters who need a little extra motivation.) This may not shock any of you who have looked at my signature/comics, but I am quite partial to TF2, and I really like the Administrator because she's not quite villainous, but she's in total control of all those battling goons and has hints of doing it for pure sport.

Anyone interested in designing said person, should we include them? I'd offer first, but I sort of have a monopoly on the character list so I think I should hold off a sec.

I thought a mcguffin was some kind of hip new term I wouldn't understand, but then I realized I just never paid attention in language arts.

So, it seems I have fallen horribly ill and can do nothing but 1) mope and 2) on the occasions when I feel better, sit in my bed with my computer. Does anybody want me to do storyboards for them?

Also we've got tons of ideas on the Google Doc now, so I'm thinking we should start trying to put things in order. I made a rough draft which can be found at the bottom of the doc, but I'm wondering if it has too much going on/maybe we should just keep it simple, fighting only, or fighting and some character development. Thoughts?

Character development always helps. Even if you don't overly say anything about them, if you know something about their character it will end up showing through. Like someone who's got anger problems vesus someone who's just simply guarded and high-strung, they probably would fight/walk/run with different postures.
But I think with information we have now, as well as some of the storyboards, we might want to save some moments for a story since the intro should be very brief.

When is a good time for a Skype/Google Docs party? (I hope you American's don't say Sunday because you should be spending time with your mommies)

Goals - Churn out a pretty solid draft (room for some revisions afterward of course).
