Hey you awesome people you!
Ever wanted to work with one of your fellow amazing SmackJeeves artists?
Well now you can!
The SmackJeeves Art Collab randomly pairs up members who sign up to it so that they can collaborate on a single image, where one person does a sketch and the other does the lineart.

The way it goes is:
1-You reply here to sign up.
2-You're randomly paired up with two people, one who you sketch a picture for, and the other who sends you a sketch to ink.
3-You have a week to do your sketch based on one of the 100 themes (this is also randomly picked for you) and send it back to me.
4-You will receive the sketch you have to ink* as soon as it is finished and you have sent me your sketch.
5-Your completed, inked drawing gets sent back to me then uploaded on the site.

*Note: You can do lines, shading, colour or any combination of those to count as the inking process (so you could use just colour, or just shading, or even colour and shading with no lines if you wanted to).

If someone is unable to submit a sketch their partner will get another sketch to ink (one that someone else has done)
If someone is unable to submit an inked version of a sketch then either the sketch form will be submitted or someone else can volunteer to do it.

Here's the list of the 100 themes:

Yes, participants will be PMed with their partners and themes when they are determined.
I will probably wait at most a week for sign ups and then start sending out messages to get it all started.

I have a question. What if you cant ink? I'm in if I get to sketch in pencil, then have my partner do the inks.

What do you mean can't ink?
There's no set standard for quality if that's what you're worried about, the point of this is to get practice.
If you actually lack the facilities to ink, then we can work something out by seeing if there's anyone who wants to only ink a drawing.

Definitely not. I'll be sending out people's partners and assignments next week at the latest, if enough people sign up I will start even earlier rather than waiting around.

(and people can always sign up for the next one, they don't have to be in from the beginning)

What if I just don't like inking? I'm very good at going from sketch to color, but I prefer to work sort of lineless. Would that be acceptable? If it is, I'm totally in. I love coloring sketches.

Adding to Lautre's question, I guess: Can we take it farther than inking? Ink and colour? Or just paint it?
