Searching for good art tutorials and tips for GIMP.

Recently, I decided to go back to using GIMP, because I'm unable to install Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended after numerous attempts. However, after making several searches for many GIMP tutorials and tips, I was able to find nothing that would help me out. To make matters worse, most of the good tutorials are Photoshop-related.

In other words, does anybody have any detailed tutorials for GIMP that talks about digital lineart, coloring, shading, et cetera?

Ooh, I'd like to find tutorials for GIMP, too, if possible... My parents won't let me get Photoshop, especially since we already bought Paint Shop Pro. Except I've started using GIMP lately and have found that I like using it a lot better... So, yeah, I'd like to see some tutorials for GIMP, too...

I'm personally a Paint.NET guy, but if you really want it, there's a tutorial on SmackJeeves itself to take a gander at.

It is a little outdated though, since it's for an older version of GIMP. I wish I had the time to update it for the newer versions.

Speaking of Paint Shop Pro, I most frequently use the seventh version for references when I draw sketches. I used to create art in PSP8, until the software itself kept crashing on me. Before you ask about Jasc, I bought them before Corel took over.

Thanks, but that tutorial hasn't really updated since 2007. I was thinking more of a search engine, actually.
