I started off so badly! Before I created head over heart, (my current webcomic) I had already posted 3 other comics on here that I ended up deleting after a while.
I was a complete noob when I started making webcomics and to be honest the reason I posted them online was because I wanted to be part of this community. Despite all the harsh comments I got I still kept posting my terrible work then deleting them XD
I drew a lot of comics before I started posting them online and I never felt uneasy about what I was drawing when I wasn't putting them out for the world to see. But making webcomics has helped me improve A LOT and I've made great friends through it so Im not quitting any time soon. I started Head over Heart hastily back in 2009, the story wasn't planned well but Im still keeping at it even now. Till I finish.

Way to go! Being able to see your progress already means a lot -- and usually if even you can see the progress (for me, I usually tend to be very self-critical) then others will definitely see as well :)

I started Valera a little over half a year ago, and it was purely experimental in terms of drawing. I JUST WANTED TO FORCE MYSELF TO PRACTICE. that's pretty much the incentive....doing it on my own would have been much less strenuous (falling into slacking is so easy) but with a webcomic, people kept expecting more and more, improvements included, and I was just kind of forced to draw. And eventually, progress became visible ^^
As for choosing comics in general...they fascinate me. Its clearly a business but also clearly an art. The possibilities and the audiences it reaches is phenomenal. I'd just like to be a part of it, even just in a small way. :)

- Been drawing and making up stories my whole life
- Made some comics when I was a little kid but never thought much of it
- DISCOVERED THE INTERNET
- DISCOVERED MANGA
- Was watching a girl on DeviantArt because she did Death Note fanart and found that she had a comic on here (Alternate by Nozmo)
- Though 'Hey, I could do that!'
- Started a webcomic
- Soon realised I could not do that and was in horribly over my head, didn't know how to draw most of the things the story required me to draw and wasn't actually sure what the story WAS anyway so after a while I dropped it
- Several years later I now have a fully thought out story that I'm really passionate about and am no longer scared of learning to draw new things so...
- BACK WITH A VENGEANCE 8D
-Comics coming soon-
In the meantime, WIP and other illustration uploaded here - http://moomieswan.tumblr.com/

I wrote stories for a long time, and then decided to draw stickman comics. Then figured I could make flash videos easily!
I have since gone to college, deciding I want to learn to actually figure out how to do art things well. Still hoping that I'll discover the magic one day...

I started off when I was in Jupiter's moon Europa, it was a cold of hell and I had nothing better to do, then I started pissing on ice trying to make comics :D
It was a mess, all I could do were random lines as you can see from nasa's photos

I used to be ttly into manga omfg kawaii desu ne sugoi kawaii juusho o oshiete kudasai nani ga okashiin desu nyan nyan orenji doozo. Started out with da mangaz!!! Easily got bored of that. Kept doing my diary in a comic form (NOT manga, should be noted). Actually evolved as an artist on the side.

Now I'm working on a story that's way out of my league and very complicated because huge projects are such a blast.

I started with doodles of random characters and a friend asked me "Why don't you make a comic ? I love to read them."
Then i tried to make one ,but it took so long to come up with ideas and an artstyle that I almost gave up on making it.
But than i found smackjeeves and some the comics inspired me and now I started my own.

I started as a writer, but I had some stories that were better suited to comics. I grew up reading Sunday funnies, but those didn't fit my stories. I've always been fond of serious stories with a healthy dose of death. I didnt start watching anime or using the internet until I was around 12-13, and I learned about manga in highschool. Before that all of my entertainment was reading. I was still more of a writer until I was about 16 when I did an RP and Ano1 came into being. I still knew I wasn't at the level I needed to be at in either story or art, so I held off until I turned 20.

I started as a terrible writer...next a third-rate artist...and then for some crazy reason, thought I could do both. Turns out that isn't working very well. But I'm doooooooooooing the best that I can!

I got into manga and videogames about the same time. The official artwork for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MR. YUSUKE NAKANO) and some fresh scanslated online issues of Akira Himekawa's OoT manga is what finally got me to buckle down and draw. My first webcomic was back in freakin' 1999 on AOL Kids' Blackberry Creek Comics. I was eleven years of age. The internet was a strange, new place. All of my comics were made in MSPaint.

It was a different time. It was a simpler time.
