That was more angry than funny.
I did like the How To Make A Popular Smackjeeves Comic section, though. But uh, since when has SJ had a hatred of ED? I looove ED. It's pretty hilarious.

I don't think about it if someone doesn't bring it up, and even then I'm not very interested.

ED basically rocks. If you can't take a joke and laugh at yourself, then sucks for you.

Also, the entire article is pretty much true.

Hahaha, ED always makes me laugh. Everything there is like completely vitriolic but I don't think anybody takes it too seriously.

Also, the Smackjeeves servers go down more times than a hooker on a Christmas eve

*shakes head with an "whoa" to get out of odd trance*

i just read that whole thing in about 15 minutes....ah, so many spelling mistakes...so little time. seriously, that thing WAS a little harsh for a joke...but asking as someone who only recently realized there were forums...did those comics they were talking about in the main articles actually exist? O_o like the one that was caught for theft? i know at least one was; my yaoi-obsessed friend (as in, the type of girl they did happen to mention) told me about that pokemon one. no offense to anyone, but i thought she was joking at first.

*blinks* still in that trance...but i was just saying the other day to that same friend that there are a lot of bl comics here (never...should've...said that...out loud). but everyone's got their interests i guess...i faved a few myself, so long as it doesn't bore me. and oddly enough, sex scenes bore me or make me laugh until i can't breathe. i don't know why. XD

ED aren't exactly well known for their spelling, grammar and factuality. The fact that most of those comics appear to have simply been taken directly from 'popular/hot' comics lists suggests that there wasn't much thought put in there. It is true that from both an outsiders and insiders view SJ can feel overrun with Yaoi comics, but honestly who can blame the authors? Demand has forced supply of yaoi comics to shoot through the roof, and although jokingly referenced it is pretty much true that any BL comic with even vaguely good art will receive a large influx of fans.

It's not like ED will get updated with new information, especially considering -- as many users have been quick to point out -- the whole article is written fairly obnoxiously. It's quite likely it has been written and contributed to mostly by users who have been burned by one of the mods or feel inadequate compared to what they see as inferior comics. When I first read the whole page I was actually a little insulted by the assumptions that are made, but I came to my senses and realised that, christ, this is ED we're talking about here.

@molly-sama: i haven't seen all the actual comments mentioned but they wouldve existed at some point in time. ED makes a looooot of shit up, but not so much to the extent of completely fabricating comics. the point of ED is supposed to be to prove their points, even if they have to twist facts around a little bit.
But sometimes ED is pretty helpful when it comes to art thieves

wow... I really don't know what to think about it xD I laughed, because it IS funny, and I'm sure most of the things there are true, exagerated but true xD
But well, who cares .___. I take it as a joke, and that's what it is...
