I orgasm'd at that video.

Seriously.

I remember the days when I sat and played Sonic 1 and 2 on my old Mega Drive.

I still get chills whenever I hear any piece of music from those games. They were so epic.

Imagine if nostalgia really COULD do that. You're with your significant other, things are heating up...
"How about I put on some music to...set the mood?"
"Ooh. Like, Barry White or something?"

Well that would be either awesome, or amazingly awkward.

My money is on awesome. Party turtle ninjas fighting while eating pizza is a total lambido booster.

What specifically did you like about Big the Cat? The levels themselves? The character? It's sort of weird to see Big fans because I thought he really slowed down Sonic Adventure and plenty of people agree, but then there are people who like him as a character. So I thought I'd ask.

Also: I'm not entirely sure on this, but Sega did post that this was the FINAL DAY for the countdown. It says it on the blog, but I want to wait until tomorrow to find out.

I mainly liked him as a character. :3
I did enjoy the fishing levels but I just plain like fishing in games, and I can understand most fans not liking the fishing levels. They were pretty out of place in SA. XD

Fishing is fun in games.. I've never liked a full out "fishing game", but I always loved sitting back and trying to catch fish with the floating lure in Ocarina of Time.. I never did beat the record I had with the sinker, though.. No matter how many times I tried ._.

I also enjoyed fishing in Twilight Princess, lol.. Got to fish everywhere ^.^

Also.. I've never been a big Sonic fan, but I have to say.. The ones I did play were very fun. Never played any of the 3d ones. Pretty much because of threads like this.. Everyone hates them and talks about how they ruined Sonic. lol

Even though my genres are kinda strict these days(RTS and FPS), I think I could make a little room for Sonic in 2d :)

Woohoo, so I'm not the only fishing-as-a-side-quest loving guy here! :D
Also, even though many people talk badly of the 3D games, there's still two of 'em you should try, and they are Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2.
Those were actually really good... It's just after that they started going downhill. (Personally, I blame bad level design. Other than that I didn't mind the later 3D games.)

Maybe the actual sonic levels, but the sidekick ones are all shit, which is a shame considering they take up 60% of the game.

I think their mistake was they tried very hard to make a diverse game with variety...and not a Sonic the Hedgehog game:
1. Run fast.
2. Get rings.
3. ???
4. EMERALDS!

Oh! And concerning Project Pikachuinasombrero:
"Today, we are about to break the trend that has continued on for many years. To the thousands of you out there asking for a game where Sonic is the only playable character – rejoice. As of today, your wish has been granted.
Image
In Project Needlemouse, there will be no new characters – playable or otherwise. The focus will remain solely on one blue hedgehog."

HELL YEAH SONIC ONLY GAME. Hopefully this is just some good old Sonic vs. Eggman action. No story(though Sonic Unleashed DID have an amazing intro), no side characters butting in, just good old kick ass speed, Sonic style.

Hype = Over the limit.
