Official Live Streaming Thread

Hello there, this thread is for those of you who like to do livestreams to show of your art making skillz. You can post here letting the other members of SmackJeeves know so they can all join in on the fun and see you at work.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, livestreaming is when you broadcast a video over the internet either through a webcam or just showing the display on your screen, basically allowing others to come watch you making comics or drawings. Along the way you can chat with them offering tips and explanations to what you're actually doing so everyone can come out of it learning some new things, or at least have awesome conversations.
Here's a site you can use, and yes it's free.

If you even wanted, you can record the videos as you broadcast them and save the videos, keeping them up on your channel so that people can go back and view them afterwords if they missed it or want to see it again. People could come back here with the link to these save videos too so we could start building up a library of them for the members to refer back to.

I understand some people think they're not good enough to do this, but literally ANYONE can do this (I did it for one and my drawing is meager). You don't actually need any equipment other than your computer (you can type to communicate if you lack a microphone and don't need a webcam unless you want to work fully traditionally). And remember the age old rule:
If you stream it, they will come.

So if there's any streams coming up or questions that someone here may be able to answer then go ahead and get the ball rolling ^^

Ohh this is awesome! I do alot of Livestreams, and I've been wondering for a while if I should post it up in its own forum or not.

Unless it's lower than 100kbps then you would be able to, though there'd be lag. (I broadcast at 100kbps and it was delayed but worked).

Oh wait, you'd have actually had first hand experience with it.

If you download procaster from here it's simple to start up. You can also change around settings if you want but just starting it as is only takes a click or two after you've registered with the site.



EDIT: I shall be livestreaming in just under an hour here come see me draw and hear me serenade you too.
