Up to this point, everything I knew about that bird, I knew from that episode of the Wild Thornberrys.

Is there a way to filter out reblogged content on Tumblr? I recently followed this one artist, but the sheer amount of reblogged stuff outnumbers her actual work. I don't want to unfollow them if I can avoid it.

Okay, so, first of all, my girlfriend was in the marine biology department at her school, and one of the grad students asked if she wanted some sea urchins that they'd collected for some science business; she brought them home and we set up a nice thirty-gallon tank of natural sand and sea-water for them, and they've survived a few months. Every few weeks we go down to the beach and bring home a bunch more sea-grass for them to eat. Now, though, it looks like the sea-grass season is about over, and I'm having trouble finding anything. I was at the beach around sunset tonight, and as it was getting dark I was gathering up everything I could find that was even a little plant-like. When I decided to leave, I shined the flash-light into the cooler to see if there were any little brine-shrimp or anything swimming around, and it turned out, no, there weren't; however, one of the things I had thought was a bit of plant was actually a small jellyfish, and unusually for one that close to shore, it was alive. It is now swimming around in the tank behind me.

Not exactly a "thought off the top of my head", but since there's not a seperate "interesting things that happened to you today but which aren't quite amazing enough to start a whole thread about" thread, I just wanted to brag. I now own a jellyfish.

It turns out that Lee Tanaka, the protagonist of the abandoned (but soon to be kissed off with a 20 page teaser) webcomic, and the one illustration to kick off my art thread, has been a bit of unintentional Bobby Lee inspiration.

And based on how my writer-friend (who created him, I designed the character visually) characterizes him later on, it seems like there's a humorous combination of himself and the comedian, with a small, small dash of Goku, seeing as the comic's set of events call for certain traits to work.

I'm totally using this guy in later comic projects. He never takes anything too seriously. He could almost be the protagonist for Kung Pow, which is my friend's favorite movie of all time.

"No I'm not interested in it"
Oh ok then, give me a running commentary of it....that's exactly what I wanted you to do when I said I wasn't interested.

This thread was clearly getting into the usual territory.

Said Eishiya, as if that was something bad. Our thread derailment is hilarious! .. And sexy!

Guys, I need to ask you something:

Thanks to one of my earlier posts, you all know that I failed science. I took all the summer classes and did my exam that came off of it. I have yet to recieve my results, but the college I joined sent me a message to go get my schedule August 27th.

I'm going to ask this:

Is it possible that my college obtained my exam results, hence why I recieved a letter from them and not from my high school?

It's possible.
It's also possible that they didn't bother to look at all, some colleges are pretty lax about their requirements.
