Is it just me or does the whole debacle seem like a BIG WHOLE PLAN FROM THE START?? WE KNEW THAT DIRK DID HAVE A PLAN TO WOO JAKE, but it was mostly on AI's side (the part about Roxy and Jane, really). WE DO KNOW he had a plan separate from Dirk's but with the same result (Jake's lips on his).

I think that the idea was to let Jake be the hero, because that's what Jakes wants!! Adventure!!!! Being Heroic!!!! (And literally,) EXPLOSIONS!!!! That's all him.

I FIND IT REALLY FUNNY HOW THIS IS DIRK AND AI'S IDEA OF A "ROMANTIC OVERTURE"

The more I think about it really, the more I'm sure that most, if not all, of the plan was created by AI (he can calculate and predict much more quickly and accurately than Dirk ever could (he's a robotic pair of shades, remember)).

Twas a good ship. Nice and strong. Sailed from Canon pier about a year ago. Then it hit that reef around A6I2 cove and had a hole in the haul. Their shipwright was a sorry excuse for a repairman and did a piss poor job but it kept going; right towards Absolute Canon Harbor. Then it came to A6I3's treacherous waters for a routine pit stop. Waves were big as hell and was surrounded by icebergs. SS Grimdorks didn't stand a chance. Hit the iceberg and went the way of the titanic.
