SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A CHUNK OF AMETHYST AND A COUPLE O' CANDLES, BRO

Lavender oil on the temples and the back of the neck works pretty good too. For them nightmares at least.

For the honey craving, I suggest honey.

Some ramblings.

I wish I could draw faster. I wish I had a new page to share with my readers.

I'm excited and scared for my final semester as a grad student.

I want to watch my show I have on my dvr, but i am also trying to ration the episodes so i don't run out too soon. I want to get dinner with my boyfriend. I want us to live together, but I'm not ready yet.

I was looking through pictures on facebook and rereading the comments my aunt had left over the past few years. It has been difficult for me to accept that she's gone. Every comment I reread I feel more guilty about how she left this world. It hurst because I know I didn't do everything I could have done to help her. If I had, she might still be dead, but at least I would have known I did my best. I didn't and I need to carry that with me now. She loved us so much and she died feeling so alone.

Found some neat stuff we had packed away in the basement. My other aunt had given us many trinkets from her travels in Mexico, years ago. I didn't care much for them as a child but I'm glad I kept them. This one ceramic cat is incredibly precious. Also found the button the hospital gave me when my sister was born. It says, in extremely authoritive font, "I'M A BIG SISTER. -HOSPITAL NAME." Oly, I feel that "person wearing 'I'm a big sister/brother' pin long after it has ceased to be relevant" would be a character you could write well

Found some unflattering photos from middle school, and decent photos from college. Hard to believe it's been 5 years, and hard to believe I was on this site part of the time I was in college. Doesn't feel like it's been that long.

Don't know what to do this evening. Too far gone now to draw anything I can keep I think  Though maybe not. Can give it a try.

Two trips coming up in the next week. Summer is winding down.

Thanks for joining us for this episode of Old Loopy Bravo's Drunk at 6pm.

The pros of being night shift while deployed: You can crack open a beer at 8 AM on a weekday, and nobody bats an eye

The downside: You're deployed, and AFCENT rules limit you to drinking on base, and no more than three a night

If you wanna stretch your limit out here, gotta drink more than just beer. Good thing I've already acquired a taste for bourbon!

Jack Daniels and Hot Coco is now my favorite drink combo right now. Previous was fireball coco.

To be honest I'm not a big fan of alcohol but I like to drink beer with friends or make margarita cocktails on weekends

You and me both. Not gonna stop me from trying, though!

Also, 18-year old Glenfiddich scotch. It is tasty. And I'm now hungry, but everything but the dining facility is closed and they don't serve nothing but breakfast until 11. I'll have to hit up the Base Exchange when they open and grab some snacks for my room.

Yes, but it's mostly because I can afford higher-quality booze now.
Spoiler! :
Truth in advertising, I've slowed down my drinking a lot. I like sipping alcohol more than I like pounding it, and while I feel the buzz kicking in earlier than I did in the past, I can stay buzzed longer and maintain my composure, compared to my wild and crazy days where I'd get rip-roaring drunk at parties and only be coherent for an hour before passing out in a puddle of humiliation and failure.

haha I was friends with pretentious people in college, so I've actually not had much bad booze aside from the plastic bottle gin I used to chug.

And, pfft, these days I usually have to be sober enough to drive home so not crossing into puddle territory is important.

I still drink cheaper end stuff exclusively, but I drink a lot less often than I did over the last few years. I didn't drink much in college, it came about after that. I used to be able to more or less finish a 1.5 L bottle of wine in an evening  . The other night I had 3 large glasses and woke up with the worst hangover I've had in all my life, so I think I'm at the age where I need to set hard limits for how party I'm allowed to get

Yeah I'm still confused that it is, in fact, possible to get trashed on beer o: haha, redoing limits is confusing.

The worst I've got was the point where I couldn't look at anything for more than three seconds, my eyes kept wanting to wander and not focus on anything. I decided that would never happen again, as it scared me how much I was losing my ability to even function at a bare minimum. Also I don't seem to get hangovers. Or I do, just they aren't as bad for me as they are anyone else. I just wake up the next morning not feeling like i got enough sleep.

ke- I can count on one hand the number of hangovers I've had that affected me beyond "made a lot of really dark poops the next morning." Even when I was drinking more often and more quantity, it was only those few occasions that I got the headache and/or other stomach pains.
