I'm slowly discovering that I don't have great alcohol tolerance. One glass of beer was enough to make me feel a touch woozy. It was a beer that's a bit on the strong side, but still.

Some drinks just seem to "take" better than others xP I felt a little woozy today after a glass of strong kvass ("strong" for kvass is still single digits ABV), even though typically I can drink far more alcohol in the form of vodka, rum, etc with no effect. I think fizzy drinks like beer and kvass might be particularly good at getting the alcohol into the bloodstream.

I clicked this thread looking for some drunken posts, but then quickly realized I acutally AM slightly drunk at the moment... I am enjoying a few glasses of an Italian merlot tonight. Not bad at all, but I wouldn't dare trying to draw 8-)

That's the EXACT thought I have every time I drink rum. Then I forget about this thought and the cycle repeats.

for me it's tequila. I don't buy bottles of it anymore because I would go through them way, way too fast. Especially if I can get my hands on the really upscale kind that's all warmth and no burn. Forget it mate it's gone!!

A few years ago I started giving up alcohol each year for Lent. This year it's been the toughest. One thing I feel a bit better about though is I had been drinking quite often prior, and was worried it was affecting my mental state (feeling sluggish during the day, etc). Well I've been off the stuff two and a half weeks now and feel absolutely no difference, so I guess whatever it is, it wasn't the alcohol making me feel like doo all the time. Still feel like doo!! But at least I can resume drinking after Lent without worrying about it heh heh
