Listened to a bit on the drive to California (flipping stations that much, sometimes it'd be the only thing coming in). Heard He's Mine by Rodney Atkins for the first time. I actually like the tune, and the lyrics are cute.

Also funny when a song would come on that I probably haven't heard in five years, and I can still sing along.

...Can't remember if I complained about this already, but I'm really annoyed that the only full version of the Firefly intro song has female lyrics. Not sure what it is, I just greatly prefer the intro itself.

Haven't heard of them, Roby, but I'll look them up. Outside of Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean (and that goddamn Gretchen Wilson song that plays five times a day), all five of the country stations I can pick up on my radio don't play much else. I like Rodney Atkins; he's usually pretty good, and one of the few that can actually pull off having the whole "country rock" melody playing in his songs. (Saw in in concert at the State Fair a few years ago, he was pretty good.)

I guess the stuff on radio wouldn't be so annoying, if I didn't know all these people who listen to this stuff and claim to identify with it, saying, "yeah, that's me right there. I'm totally country." (Note most of these people live well inside the city limits, and three-quarters of them not only don't live on a farm, they don't even know a relative or friend that lives on a farm, outside of myself.) Then, when I go to do something that all these songs sing about (i.e. go fishing, or off-roading), they beg me to let them come along, don't chip for gas or supplies, and then bitch and moan about how bored they were on the way home. Or, if we need some extra hands on the farm and I ask for their help (thinking, "Oh, this person says they're down to help, they don't mind getting dirty"), they either come along and do as little as possible while bitching about how tired they are, or refuse outright, despite asking me if my grandmother has any work for them. These are what the experts classify as "retarded people". Just because you don a pair of work boots, a ball cap and a Carhartt jacket, doesn't mean you get to call yourself a country boy, just like I can't don a kilt, knee-high socks, and a set of bagpipes and claim I'm a Scotsman. It just don't work that way.

Also, fuck hay today. Glad we got it all done and cleaned that guy out so we don't have to buy hay from that guy anymore.
Spoiler! :
Between today and yesterday, we were hauling hay for my grandma from that one place with the huge 125+ lb. bales, the ones that make my hands blister through my gloves whenever I lift them. On the first load yesterday, on the way back to the farm, while making a left turn, one of the tie-down lines snapped and all our hay fell off the trailer onto the side of the road. Two of the bales fell into a ravine and I couldn't get them out. The rest had to be re-stacked, which really sucked. Fortunately, we made it through the rest of the day without further incident.

Then, today, we made the last two loads, and both of them were disastrous. The first one, about two miles down the road from the ranch, we blew a tire on the trailer, so I had to walk back to the ranch, grab a jack and a spare tire, and put the tire on, but when I did,the tire didn't fit. So we offloaded from the hay trailer to my truck, making runs back and forth from where we busted a flat to the barn, in about three trips, while my grandma brought the tire in to get fixed. After we got the tire back on, we went back for the last load, and on the way back from that, we broke another tie-down line making a right turn, this time in rush hour traffic going through town. Nobody got hurt, thank God, but between dealing with the hay bales, the incredibly irate farmhand, and asshole drivers who passed by to gawk and laugh, I was in a rather dismal mood. Plus, what with all of these delays, I didn't get to do anything I wanted to get done today, and the weather's supposed to be shitty tomorrow.

The reason all our stuff kept breaking was these damn heavy bales that were on there, the trailer wasn't meant to hold that much weight. I'm surprised it didn't blow up...

So, it turned out that what I thought was just really bad menstrual cramps was really my appendix. It ruptured and I had to have surgery. And I had a point, but I can't focus on things for crap right now.

A friend of mine who I haven't had any contact with for a year suddenly contacted me on Facebook, telling me he finally had time to himself and he missed our friendship and bromance. I was happy at first, but then once I began talking to him again, he started flirting with me. Earlier in our friendship, he developed feelings for me which I turned down and about a year later he found himself a wonderful girlfriend. He moved to another state temporarily and constantly gushed to me about his beloved before we lost contact. Now, another year later, he's making passes at me again and telling me that I'm the only person for him.

Good grief, I hope his girlfriend didn't leave him and now he's rebounding on me...

Why don't youtube videos ever work in 360p? If there's an HD version it loads in seconds, but when it's a choice between 360 or 240 and I want to actually see something beside one pixel it loads up to a few seconds then stops forever. How does the bigger version load faster than the smaller one? Youtube has been a world of suck since google bought it.

Was playing a game that crashed. It decided to fuck with my color/brightness settings. I cannot find where I originally have them and it's driving me insane.

I've been so fucking miserable lately. I don't know if this is because I'm a teenager or because I am pathetic. All I want to do is sleep or draw naked women or listen to sad music and cry.
The reason I'm sad is really juvenile and stupid, I know that I'm not forever alone, and I know everything passes, but it's just passing so SLOW. I'm craving, like, I don't know, romance? I have great friends, but for some reason, it isn't enough. I want a boyfriend or a girlfriend or a whatever-friend. My object of undying affection just asked some girl out who's prettier, skinnier, smarter, more talented, funnier than me. My backup future-husband is hours away and thinks I'm a freak. Isn't there at least ONE guy out there who has both a fat fetish and a good sense of humor? Isn't there at least one person who would ever be romantically interested in me? I'm starting to doubt it!
