Okkk... This is pretty awkward. I've haven't posted here in ages. But... Another teenage issue. It has nothing to do with me, just... Read it if you want to.

Ok... So I was talking to my big sis and her best friend. We're all cool and stuff and we started to talk about pregnancies in our grades. She says her class would come off clean and started to name the grades that have pregnancies. She said said the 8th grade has a pregnant girl. I had heard about rumors that this girl was pregnant, but I thought it was another nasty thing they'd do to one another. Just...Wow. Excuse me while I lose my cherished sanity.
14 YEARS OLD, AND PREGNANT(This should be a new show!Not.). I know that back in Shakespearean days, this was completely normal, but times have changed.
Where were her parents?! How would someone let their 14-year-old go get knocked up?! (I love my mom and dad, contrary to teenage beliefs)
Ugh. Teenagers urk me. It's our awkward stage into adulthood. Not sex-drinking-pot-funtime. (I also heard rumors of one guy also in the 8th grade who got high, but that's for another time.)
WHAT IS SOCIETY COMING TO?! Now I can't wait for the Zombie Apocalypse (Which I doubt will happen, but the cannibals recently...).
I think this still could be a rumor gone terribly bad, this rant was for if it was true.

People have very skewed values nowadays. I heard a few years back about some teenage girls intentionally damaging their boyfriends' condoms because they wanted to make sure they had kids before they got too old. -.-

One of the girls I graduated with was pregnant with her second.

Personally, I've met plenty of 40 year olds who didn't seem mature enough to have kids. When people talk about the days when it was standard to get married at 14/15, they forget that people were actually held responsible in those days. A fifteen year old boy could hunt, farm, and actually take care of a household.

I check his facebook way too much. I still talk to people about him like we're best friends. I think about him and write about him all the time! Ugh what is wrong with me? He changed his facebook profile picture to one of him with his girlfriend.. Ok. Stop right there.

You say it's not about looks. Then why did you choose someone so pretty?

Oh man, not to be rude, but if you were a guy I'm sure people would have chewed you out immediately for Nice Guy syndrome. It's okay because you're in high school, but try not to get in the habit of feeling this way. Trust me: it leads to bad times later in life.

I know at least 3 girls that were pregnant this year. You need to watch who you bring it up to though. Wrong person and you get the whole "You don't know what she goes through, you don't HAVE HER LIFE!!"

I feel sorry for the girl on account that she gets infinitely more bad press for it rather than the guy (A gross double-standard by any measure), but she should have at least been using Birth Control and forced the guy into a condom.....

Sex is, something more intimate and has some pretty high risks for Teens and Young Adults, it's something you need to think about before having.
Though today's culture is all for the YOLO. If it wasn't for my ethnic background I'd grab the first DeLorean I'd find and hop back a few decades.

Yeah, anyone trying to justify their actions based on a culture in the past is just ignorant. Things were different back then. You can't have the best of both worlds.

My Aunt talked to someone about those Ducklings and apparently they said it's best to just let them go off on their own and find their mom, but I'm still worried. We followed them a bit and they ended up hiding in a bush not too far from a very busy street.

Fuuuuuck I wish there was some way I could know for sure they'd be alright. The uncertainty is going to drive me crazy.
It's damn near driving me to tears thinking about them not being okay.

I had a dream last night that I met up with someone I can no longer see in real life, we hugged and caught up on the past year, and he told me about his plans for the future and I told him about mine, and I was so happy. But then I woke up. And I just thought "oh" when I realised that it was just a dream. but It's just emotionally numbing, when I think I've finally started to heal and move on a little my mind just reminds me how much I really miss my friend.

Everywhere we call just tells us how we should care for them or tells us to let them go off on their own, but that didn't work earlier and we're down to three ducklings. The Mother is gone, plain and simple. Leaving them outside would be leaving them to die but we have three cats, there is no way for us to take care of them and raise them. This is heart-breaking, we have no idea what to do, we can't even find a place to call to come take care of them. It's like our only option is to take them in or just let them die.

I don't know, it feels really panic-y right now and my Aunt is out getting more food. It might be our only option but I don't know how we'd go about doing it, I mean I live in Des Moines. How would you even go about finding someone near here that could take care of them?
