Congratulations Mitchell on your engagement!
And speaking of my brother.

So, I'm sitting in my EMT class and my dear brother (The Hankerchief) calls, all the way from Qatar. I quickly silence my phone and let him know I will call him back as soon as I finish class. And this is Twin Nerd moment of pride, He responds not with any of the typical affirmatives (Ok, Roger That, See you then, etc) but instead replies, "Potassium". I couldn't help it, I started laughing, in the middle of a trauma response exercise. Questioning looks abound (the material was fairly graphic) the instructor decided to pause and let us take a break. I grinned like a fool all the way through the rest of the class.

So, in short, My Brother everyone.

*dusts off the thread which has now been about my wedding for two and a half months  *

Narrowing down venues and going to do round 1 of dress shopping this week. I feel like things are finally beginning to start to almost come together and, well, that's nice. :P

I went to go pay off the rest of the bill for the truck tires I bought last year, only to discover that not only had I paid it (via a monthly bill payment I had set up before I went overseas), the payment for last month had overpaid the bill by a little over $100. I ended up getting a set of chains for my truck without having to pay anything, and still had enough to get lunch!

....Not a major thing, but given how my year started, I'll take my victories where I can get them.

Cleaned up the desktop of my computer. It was like 75% covered with random pictures I downloaded/documents from when I was in school/misc other files. Now I can see Oly's background picture again and feel a bit less stressed by it.

I kinda gave up on my cleaning spree from a month ago. Idk if I'll get back to it. Kind of a bummer. At least I got done what I did. And I did also get some papers cleared up today IRl.

I went and picked up my husky pup.

My big fear was, he was a) not going to like car rides, and b) make a mess in my truck (he's still learning potty training). Turns out my fears were unfounded. He's a good dog! Made a 13 hour drive back to Montana, zero issues.

Now, if we could just get past the teething phase...

You'll miss the teething when it's done. In my experience puppies can be so hyper that it gets tiring, but when they're grown and don't play as much you start missing how funny they were when they wanted to fight and eat everything, haha.

(EDIT: Man I phrased that kinda badly and sadly when I first posted this.)

OMG OMG I forgot about that.   Also in my experience you gotta have BALLS OF STEEL (that I personally don't have) to clean daily so occasional cleaning sprees that still get you closer to the goal are better than not cleaning at all.

AAAAH YOU KNOW THE ENTIRE FORUM NEEDS PICTURES NOW :D :D :D

Meanwhile I reached my goal of last year and used up all sketchbooks I had started simultaneously and became THE PERSON WITH ONE SKETCHBOOK. 8-) It's silly to feel happy about this but it makes me happy - I'll try to keep it this way for as long as possible (I mean, realistically it's sometimes reasonable to have two sketchbooks, but that doesn't happen very often).
