Your Favorite Sprite Comic

Postby K I R A » May 15th, 2009, 5:23 pm

Simple, what are your favorite sprite comics. Note that they do NOT have to be a Smackjeeves comic.

Mine have to be either Path to Disorder by Tedelf or Soul of Darkness by Darkjosh. Path to Disorder combines both comedy and seriousness into one comic. Soul of Darkness is like, the perfect fighting comic.

Is it bad that my own Sprite Comic is one of my favorites? ^^;

Seriously though, one of my favorites is Redemption by Animetal and a couple other authors. It's good, and seems like it's bound to get much better too.
Hmm... And any other Sprite comics I have/would've liked have been long dead. XD

I remember seeing this one a looooong time ago that wasn't on SJ, and was based around the Space Pirates from Metroid.
That was the first Sprite Comic I ever liked, and I can't even remember the damn name. ><

all i've ever seen is him bitch-slapping his enemies to submission...

I... definitely haven't heard of most of these comics.

But Kid Radd still holds the number one spot for me.

Hmmm, like lots of them. Kidd Radd, A Modest Destiny, 8-Bit Theater, Two Evil Scientists, hmmm, all I can think of on top of my head. Always looking for new and interesting sprite comics, and some of the ones mention are not that familiar to me. Might have to check them out.

I don't mean to resurrect this thread from the dead, but if you guys want to see a nice sprite comic you should check out Neorice's A Path To Greater Good. The story, characters, and art are all great.

A modest Destiny was also a good read. Non-smackjeeves though.

Anything with custom sprites will always be in my good books.

Pokemon Pebble Version got me into sprite comics and making sprites when I was about 9. Good humour and worth a read if your into pokemon comics http://www.pebbleversion.com/

Everybody knows DDSR of course, amazing comic and its great that RazorD9 has stuck with it over the years.

Kilobyte was a good comic with custom sprites, shame it ended last year.

Drunken Gunslinger is currently one of my favourites

About 2-3 years ago there was a comic by somebody who used to go by the name The Sponge and SpongeMonkeyz called Shpam Man, very funny story about a spammer in the foruming world. Not sure what happened to it though.

Why has nobody mentioned Kid Radd, The Path to Greater Good, and A Modest Destiny yet?

Ansem Retort.

The first comic had me hooked straight away. I also love it for creating the genius formula of
Axel + Violence and Cruelty = Comedy.
