Bob's Burgers

Bob's Burgers

Postby Fastbro » March 28th, 2012, 1:11 pm

One of the best animated shows currently on TV. The first season was a bit inconsistent, but the writers have really found their feet with the second one. Anyone else watching it?

I love John Benjamin but I never watch Fox, so unless Comedy Central or [as] pick it up I'll live without it, haha.
I'm really stubborn when it comes to have a small collection of channels I watch, it's already hard to adjust to watching UFC on FX now instead of Spike.
Now what might this be?

I watched the premier of the show and remembered thinking it was kind of funny and that I'd give it a chance. Unfortunately, I never saw it on again after that! Maybe I'll have to look around and DVR it.

The animation was sorta weak in my opinion, and i didn't really laugh.

I've heard good things about this, but it's so rare for me to sit down and watch TV* that I probably will not see it in the forseeable future.

*except SVU. Many an hour I devote weekly to SVU.

The animation is definitely nothing to shout about at all, HOWEVER I actually found it really hilarious. It was like early family guy before 99% of their humor became completely non-sequitor and the characters warped unrelateable hyperbolies of their original personalities. I really like the family in Bob's Burgers, and each character has something I love about them. I only saw like three episodes but immediately got their whole dynamic and really dug it. The mom was a character too, she wasn't just "THE NORMAL ONE" of the family.

At first I was like "these voices don't seem to match the characters AT ALL" but once I got comfy with it I really dug the awkward voicing. It just fit the tone somehow I thought.

My favorite character's Louise, voiced by Kristen Schaal which is awesome!

I just started watching it thanks to netflix, I have to say its refreshing to watch something on Animation Domination that Seth McFarland didnt make for once. This show is great I am almost done with season 1 and I havent seen any of season 2 yet.

It's sad how underrated this show is! It's just fantastic, ever since Home Movies ended nothing since has filled that void. Looking forward to catching up on the episodes since all I have is season one, hopefully Netflix will update soon with the next season.
