Portal 1/2

Any of you ever played Portal 1 or 2?
If so, feel free to discuss on here!
Cuz as Wheatley says...
"I am NOT a moron!"
And everyone else says...
"Yes! We get it!" -_-;

I liked Portal 1 when Steam released it for free.

I have yet to play Portal 2.

Portal is amazing. I still haven't played the 2nd one because I don't have the systems for it but I've watched playthroughs and the game is perfect. I'm not sure what they're gonna do with portal 3.

Yeah, with 3, ive seen leaked videos. It appears that in the 3rd, your able to adjust where your portals are and stuff.
Personally, my favorite is 2. Its even better than 1, and is simply amazing!

I didn't know that a portal 3 was announced, (I'm not that well informed xD), but I really liked the one AND the two.
I preferred the second tho :). More interesting in the ''story'' department.

I seem to be in the minority that prefers the first game to the second. 2 has great characters and some really nice worldbuilding, but the story seemed more separate from the gameplay, and it didn't feel as exciting as the first. The first game just seemed like an overall tighter package, everything was so interconnected. 2 does most things better than 1, and yet it doesn't feel as much like a unified whole.

Does that even make any sense? I think I forgot what I was talking about halfway through.

Yeah I'm confused too. Everyone knows Valve can't count to 3.

I don't think a Portal 3 has been officially announced but its safe to assume they'll make another portal game. Portal 2 got some of the highest reviews ive ever seen for a videogame, the money hungry investors running the gaming world will not allow such a big money maker to go to waste or die young. I think they should make a Portal prequel because I don't see where else they can take the story with the main character being set free at the end of Portal 2.

Yes, Portal 2 seemed to have more than portal 1 when it came to story.
Mosama, I really have no clue how theyd do a 3.
Perhaps Chell goes back to find aperture completely in ruin. Well, however, if they do it, i will be there eagerly, waiting for it.

You're not alone! I love the first more than the second. Portal 2 is still brilliant, and the writing is funny as heck. But the depth of the new mechanics suffered due to the sheer number of, well, new mechanics. It felt like half of the time, I was playing tuturials for some new paint or something. Both games are still great. I just loved the feeling of complete mastery the first game gave me.

Is that true? Does valve really not make games over 2?
For ex: Stickman 1/2, never a 3?

I've finished through Portal 2, and I hope to play the first one at some point, because I absolutely loved it.
