I will probably get Conquest today when my card comes in and then after I play it for a while I'll write my own review.

Maybe with pics.

I got 490 out of the first 493 (Generations 1-4.) FRICK YEAH. I'm beating Colosseum to get Ho-oh, and then I'll have to trade online for Mew and Darkrai. Literally over a thousand hours. Over years. It's all coming together.

Beat Conquest last night and am currently playing through the post-game episodes!
I'm kinda disappointed that the link percentages don't carry over, but it's still pretty fun playing from different characters' perspectives.

I'm almost in your boat, I've nearly gotten 400, but that was a few years ago (Platinum)....
I doubt I'd be able to to get into it again, I lost my interest.

There's already roms of Pokemon B&W 2 and people are doing complete playthroughs on YouTube. I didn't watch very much, but from what I saw and what I read, B&W2 seems similar to Gold and Silver in terms of plot. Don't know if I'll get it.

But G/S was awesome.

They did it right.

All I ask is they expand the endgame a little more. Make it not suck.

Part of me is wondering if they lifted from G/S on purpose. And no, I'm not going to go off about how it's part of a scam or something, but for another reason completely. B/W were supposed to be a reconstruction of R/B/Y, addressing shortfalls in the original plot and trying to recapture what was good about them. So what if B/W2 are supposed to do the same for G/S/C? Maybe addressing the shortcomings of Team Rocket's plan to find Giovanni in Plasma's plan to find N. I didn't watch the playthrough all the way because that would ruin the surprise and the people doing commentary didn't bother translating any of the dialogue.

And yeah, seriously, put less stuff that relies on me living in Downtown Tokyo or a comic convention to enjoy. I live in the boonies and go to a state college that's mainly known for being where middle-aged single moms go to get their degree. If I asked every person in my college, I'd be lucky to only find a handful of people with a copy of B/W who would be willing to connect my game with them so I can populate Black City. I did very little of the post-game material before getting bored and putting the game aside.

So uhh... Can someone do me a solid and breed me a Gen IV Totodile? I'm not having luck with the GTS. Everyone wants crazy stuff like Legendaries instead of another starter or something. I have a Cyndaquil fresh out of the Day Care if anyone's interested. :P

*EDIT*
Also, I've been getting more and more hooked on Pokemon lately. My biggest Poke'nerd friend has shown me how much more addicting Pokemon can be once you start nerding out more on stats and stuff like STAB that I never paid attention to before. As much as I love Pokemon the series has served as little more than a nostalgia-trip for me other than Platinum and how much it wowed me with all it's newness.
But now that I'm getting all into stats, IV's, EV's, STAB, etc. It's more fun than ever.
Spoiler! :
And yes, I know this must sound silly to someone who's been a huge Pokemon nerd all these years. It feels like... Admitting to playing MH for years without understanding Armor Skills or something. For lack of a better analogy.

The trick with the GTS is to upload, not search. Try putting your cynda up and asking for a totodile rather than searching and hoping you find someone who isn't an idiot. Although I don't know how active fourth gen GTS is these days so that might also be an issue. Otherwise I've got totodiles but we'll have to organize a time to trade. FC (Heartgold): 1678 8164 4261

I love advanced breeding for IVs and Hidden Power, that's the most fun part for me.

Also on a more general note I have White2, I've been a bit slow playing it but I'm training my team up for the fifth gym right now. It's pretty good! Interesting to have a real sequel for once.

Yeah, I have my Cynda sitting in there waiting for a trade. Gonna give that some time, and if I don't have luck with that I could try hittin' you up via PM or something~

Somehow the stats aspect of Pokemon just never grabbed me.
Even if it is just a nostalgia trip, it's always one I find worth taking. Maybe it's because the original TV show was as big a part of my childhood as the games. I guess I just want to live
in a Po-ke-Mon World and I wanna be
the greatest master of them all.

Breeding, though, that was always super fun to me. I'd love it if they made it possible to open your own breeding services over Wi-Fi or whatever someday. Somehow breeding the perfect moveset or stats onto a Pokemon, which I've still never actually done, always seemed so fun to me. I always poured over that section of the strategy guide, even if it was just a couple of paragraphs.
