It's worth mentioning at this time that I discovered a friend of mine in high school had the Pokemon X soundtrack, and I freaked out when she made me a copy.

He captured Mewtwo, Beat Team Rocket almost alone, had a type disadvantage and still took out Blue's charizard, AND fought a life or death battle with Bruno and won.....WHILE crippled with numb limbs and with only 2 pokemon. Then he Stopped Giovanni AGAIN with Mewtwo and blew up a FUCKIN AIRSHIP. AND that's only in KANTO. In Johto he partnered up with Articuno and took down the rampaging Lugia and Ho-oh with the help of every pokemon from every trainer in both Kanto and Johto.

This kid........is my pokemon hero.

Charizard. Because he was Charizard. And he was a dick. And when he wasn't being a dick and got serious he fucked shit up. He was Ash's Vegeta.
Also Pikachu. I used to hate on Pikachu for being a spotlight thief in the series, but I just can't deny how much I love Ash's Pikachu in the anime and manga.

UH. I'm going to guess somewhere in the twenties. Like, at the beginning, they were young and fresh and newly appointed in Team Rocket and starting to make a name for themselves, but before they really got the chance they got trampled by a ten year old and became fixated on him and his pikachu for the rest of their lives.

And now they're stuck in a rut and they've been given up on.

I mean, during episode one I was under the impression they were actually fearsome. After Ash beat them their threat level went way down, of course, but I assume because of that they were actually a pretty menacing duo to start out with.

In my fantasy Season Infinity, where the world ends and all this shit, Team Rocket is actually taking over the world because they are that badass but Jessie and James get kicked out and help Ash instead. And they end up being good at that! (There was a movie where they said they were good at being good guys, wasn't there? Was that the first one?)

I try not to instill ship wars because you can't change opinions yada yada. Also there are just so many people in Pokemon, I mean really.

I never really cared for May, though. Probably because I only saw a handful of Hoenn episodes.
