I like a lot of musics from these series: Mario (some), Kirby, Pokemon, Donkey Kong (only the ones I know, some) and Sonic (some).
Empty until something's thought of.

I bought one of the Crysys 2 soundtracks recently despite never having played the game and hearing only the previews. I was not disappointed.

The music in Donkey Kong Country 2 was so epic! Don't forget this one:

The World Ends with You is full of great music!
Long Dream: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIeIvDqOttE
Twister: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXDGT1Ji ... re=related
Three Minutes Clapping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LK01R-s ... re=related

Ah! There's so many! It's hard to pick favorites!
Somehow, they've ingeniously put J-Pop to video game situations (battles, cutscenes) and made it all work!

For me, the best video game music will be the music from a little known game from the 16 bit era called "Final Fantasy Mystic Quest" on the SNES released in 1992. (side note these are only a few of the actual songs, dont have enough room to fit them all on.

Tristam's theme

Recently for me (despite the game being kinda old) is the Sonic R soundtrack. Livin' in the City has been stuck in my head for three straight months. Maybe because it's perfect music for when I go kickboxing. TJ Davis, I loooooove your voice~

80% of my 30GB iPod is composed of videogame soundtracks. Sad, but true. I can't get enough of them. My favorite pieces from videogames are usually the battle themes where I'll actually be able to put up with level grinding if it has a cool beat like Mass Destruction from Persona 3. Anyway, I'll name my favorite soundtracks and songs that I can think off of the top of my head:

-The entire Kirby 64 soundtrack. Sure, laugh all you want.
-Space Channel 5 OST
-SSX Tricky Compilation
-Soul Calibur II OST
-Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door OST
-Neighborhood 1 from The Sims (YEAH THAT'S RIGHT I LISTEN TO THIS ON THE AIRPLANE)
-Oikonny's Fleet/Space Battleground, Corneria and Boss 1 from Star Fox Assault
-Gusty Garden Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy (Has anyone played the second one? I haven't yet...is it worth buying?)
-The True Mirror (and the rock guitar version) from Baten Kaitos. Heck, just anything by Motoi Sakuraba. One of the reasons why I bought Super Smash Brothers Brawl was because I found out he was contributing to the game's music. Even Nobuo Uematsu's is a fan of Sakuraba's work!
-Tales of Legendia OST, especially Chasing Shirley. That being said, Go Shiina did the soundtrack, probably making this the only Tales soundtrack that Motoi Sakuraba didn't compose.
-Aquarium and Freeway from Bloody War: Primal Fury/Extreme
-Hand in Hand from Kingdom Hearts 2. Okay, the first game's version is great too. Pfft, okay, all of Kingdom Hearts.
-DISCO★PRINCE from We Love Katamari
-Brave Heart from Rogue Galaxy
-Jody Summer's Theme and Dr. Stewart's Theme from F-Zero GX
-Normal Battle, First Battle, Semi-Final Battle, Cipher Peon Battle and Cipher Admin Battle from Pokemon Colosseum

I won't list all of the Zelda and Pokemon Gameboy music I like, or we'd be here all night.

Since you posted that, I clicked the link, listened to it, went on to listen to other tracks from Sonic R and fell in love with the whole soundtrack!

I love music from Kirby games. It's so adorable and cute, yet so epic all at the same time.
Kirby 64 has the best overall boss music of any Kirby game, in my opinion.
