Post one obscure band you'd like to highlight

I just think this would be fun, plus it's a way we can share some of our favorite underrated bands and expand our musical tastes.

My band is the britpop/dreampop/indie band "Delays". Their music is just filled with such emotion, and a lot of their earlier songs are perfect stuff to listen to during the summer on the beach. There's a quality of dreaminess to a lot of their music, and that makes it perfect to chill out to.

Personally, I believe the Band Fastball needs more attention.

The Protomen are AWESOME. They're like Styx if they did music about the Megaman mythos.

Boy Hits Car.
So hard.
Spoiler! :
Eager Tempos, Benkei, One Kiss Away, Going to India, The Sound of a Breaking Heart, my god I love this band, and yet I've never met anyone else who's heard of them. It's hard not to spam links to their songs, there are just so many that I love.

And yeah, The Protomen rule.

Mercury Radio Theater

amazing Philadelphia local band - kind of surf-ish instrumentals. really awesome... easily my favorite 'still-playing live shows' band.

Hope this counts despite her being a solo artist.

Not sure how well known they are, most people I've talked to haven't heard of them.
The Real Tuesday Weld. I haven't listened to the more recent stuff, but the vids from 2003 and 04 are mostly the material on their album I, Lucifer, which is one of my absolute favorite albums in the whole world. Love the melancholy, tenderly optimistic sound. Can't believe I got that album five years ago

Deastro seriously deserves more recognition. Not really known outside of Detroit.

And One is one of my favourite bands; basically no one seems to know who they are. Probably because they're German. They're great if you like synth and EBM, and probably pretty bad if you do not like those things.

Some of my favourite songs:
-Playing Dead
-Krieger
-Sexkeit
-Dein Ende
-Steine sind Steine probably their best known song because everyone thinks it's about nazis ftl

I love her :) Though her last album was a bit of a letdown.

I knew I recognized that name! I heard these guys thanks to "Ghostly Swim", which was a compilation album [adult swim] put out for free a couple years back. "Light Powered" was the song they put on there.
