Dance, House, Trance, Electronic...

Does the likes of Basshunter, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren and Sander van Doorn ring a bell to you?

Anyway, so I've been wondering, what's your favorite song that fit the style?

I mean, honestly...

P.S.: If you're talking about a song you're listening to right now, post it first on the ''What are you listening to?'' and then, share it here. That way, there won't be any trouble.

Yes to everything but the last person. For electronic, I don't have any sort of subgenre preference. I got into electronic via Daft Punk and Pendulum. Through internet radio, those lead me to other groups and other genres that span the board from House, Dubstep, Dn'B, Jungle, etc.

Bands and Artists I care about related to any form of genre like this...

Eiffel 65
Bloom 06
Pendulum
Skrillex
Deadmau5
Daft Punk
LMFAO(they dabble)
Goldfish
Ronald Jenkees
Skankfunk
Phoenix
Aqua(pretty sure they fall under at least one genre)
Basshunter
Discotronic
Renard
Stan SB
Eric Prydz
Netsky
Ozone
SMF(search for SMF - HaHaHa!)
Techno Rockers
Yolanda Be Cool
Owl City

I could list more, but I don't feel like going through my 1604 favorites on youtube just to pick out any bands I missed.

House, straight-up techno, dubstep, nightcore, hardstyle, speedcore, happy hardcore, electro, dance, overall these encompass all my favorite genres. These are the types of songs I listen to, not to say that I ONLY listen to them, but they make up the majority.

I'd love to be able to DJ, and I might try harder some day, but at the moment I just lack the patience and motivation.

I'm more of a Blues/Rock person, so not too familiar of the genre, but this doesn't mean i dislike it.
Deadmau5 and Pendulum are definitely in my playlist, so are Deep Forest (which, i guess, still falls under electronica).

Also, i gotta admit that i'm oddly fascinated by the sound of scratch. I just love when a DJ goes for it.

This is my favorite genre of music & thanks for everyone naming some bands/artists because im checking out all of them and im running into some really good stuff (like pendulum- i only saw 1 of their videos before but now im going crazy over their album thnx for namedropping them)

As far as dance-type music i listen to madonna, gaga, daftpunk, spacecowboy, designerdrugs, combichrist, mindless self indulgence, la roux, robyn, skrillex, ultraviolet sound, and this super underground band called 'we are the world' that apparently no ones heard of but their music is epic

I'd also name Frank Klepaki. He made a few albums that are not videogame sountracks... still sound very command&conquer-ish, but they got a good beat

I used to be a fan of the genre but over time i've fallen out of love with it (though not completely). I'm still in love with house and I'm gaga for hip hop which often crosses into electronica, I've always wanted to try producing some tracks on my own but I haven't had the time or energy to dedicate to it.

I really like the darker EBM but, being a dutchy, 3 of the names mentioned by the Original Poster are known wether i like it or not. And to be fair, I do have a passing affection for these styles of music.

Like your beats hard? Try some of these.
As I see their reference lacking, might i suggest a personal favourite? Grendel anyone?

How about some more mainstream stuff? Dj Paul Elstak orThunderdome?

Too much?
Some happy oldies perhaps? Marusha & Charley Lownoise & Mental Theo

Beats Antique, hands down, genre wise. Other than that... I don't know too much about this genre.

I can't say this is my favorite genre of music but I do listen when I'm either in the mood or when wanting to mix things up a bit.
I prefer my New Age, Rock, Jazz, Rap and Soundtrack music.

If you don't mind some strange, strange things happening sometimes, check out Add (N) to X. Generally speaking, I love electronic music, but a lot, especially new, tends to be asinine uhn-tiss-uhn-tiss kinda stuff, which rarely impresses me. I've started listening to a lot of chiptune and C64 music on YouTube to get my fixes lately, besides putting on hip-hop/techno founders like Cybotron, B.O.S.E., and Freestyle on Pandora. And then there's Front 242, if you don't mind growling vocals.

Also, fun fact: when did the first top-ten synth track come out? 1959: Gershon Kingsley's "Popcorn". Check it.
