Try looking through your firewall settings and making an exception for Smack Jeeves. It may be that your firewall detects some problem with the search feature in Smack Jeeves that you don't notice. Also, run a virus scan on your computer and ensure that it is secure, which you should probably do first. It may be that you have some bit of malware stuck on your computer that is preventing usage, although that is unlikely. Last, check your anti-virus' "Quarantine" section and cure/delete all files inside. Other than this, I'm out of ideas. Perhaps another SJ user can help you a little more than I can.
