I always approve of tentacles.

However I think they should be bigger to fit with the rest of his body. As it is his tentacle bottom half looks rather small and stumpy, try giving him a bit more girth and length down there.

This.

(No, but seriously, I agree. The tentacles are too small to support his body on land, and too small to propel it well underwater. Plus, it just looks unbalanced.)

YAY thanks for the feedback! I love mermens but I don't look at the octopus ones as much. so its good to hear from someone who is more into them. =3 Or at least I know you like tentacles. XD;

I was trying to go for a thinner octopus, I con there can be some that are more skinny then the more common thicker ones. Maybe I should look at some reverences for what I'm going for. XD But yeah there is not a lot of tummy there. I will keep this in mind when I redo him. I need to go threw and make reffs of all my mermens. X3

Thank you again! O 3 O

*sees Eishya*
I guess I need to say, the lower half is small I agree. But I still want to keep the tentacles thin. =3

*bumbped again*
AAHHH Let me post! XD

Octopi also don't have a whole lot of torso weight to support, and their heads are small enough that the tentacles look balanced. If you want to keep them thin, maybe just make them longer and see how that looks?

You could always use squid as a reference as well. Just take away the two extra appendages. That way you can get the more sleek look you want.

Yeah I was just thinking that I should make them way longer. The ones I drew there are short like the Octopus that have ticker tentacles.

Thanks for posting here you two. It feels good to have some people post here then me just farting pics here. XD you make me happy. =3

Squid might work. Maybe I should just make him a Squid. I did kind of want crazyer mermen in my series. I have a lobster Merman! XD

No problem! Everyone's sketchbooks need some love now and then. I really should comment on them more, but I feel silly posting 'I LOVE YOU AND THIS' all the time, because that's what I would totally do.

Also I think the Squidman and the Lobman should be in love.

LOL yeah I feel dumb jut posting "THAT LOOKS AWESOME!" But I do it any way. I have not been lately because I have been busy. XD;
I would critic people but sometimes I get yelled at like, " I DID NOT ASK FOR CRTIC* and I'm like, "I just wanted to helps. T^T"

LOL I don't know if it would work out in my series, the Lobster is a Volcano God! Squidman is a mage. But even if it dose not fit the series, dose not mean they can't be tougher! Bwahahah XD

Edit: Here is the new him Well what I got done. XD;

I APPROVE 100%

The squid definitely looks cooler. And he's a LOT more balanced now. Awesome.

Oh yeah. In my mind, Lobsterman and Squidman have a total bro-mance going on.

Anyway the only problem I see is that when you make a new bottom half, sometimes they look too short for the body. Lobsterman looks good, but Saris's lower half appears a little short compared to his torso. Since you're redrawing him though, it should be an easy fix. <3

I will have to draw them together for you some time. XD I need to work out Lobster man more. Like nameing him. Then I want to give him something on his arms to look like the big claws Lobsters have. =3 They are going to be like some kind of detachable armor or something.

That pic of saris is crap. XD I drew it a while ago and I remeber hatted Ininking it. XD I need to make him more pretty and the sash thing is going away. I'm still working on the shark he is pared with. X3
