Time for me to come out of hiding for the summer and post some long overdue artz :3

These are some abstract doodles I did using really bright paper and a regular cheap ballpoint pen.
The colors on these didn't scan in as brightly as I wanted them too. :( They are really neon colors!!

What do ya know? More stuff! Some of this is older, and some of it is newer. Sorry this is such a big art dump. XD

The 4 pictures below are the inking jobs I did for the last three SJ Collabs. My favorite one to work with had to be the greyscale Doll, which was the most recent round. I also loved coloring in the stage. :D

This would be a comic cover I had to design for my illustration Class for Wake tech. My hero was based on a college student who found out his science teacher was geneticly experiemnting on his peers. When confronting the teacher, the boy got injected with foreign DNA, giving him altered senses and abilities.

Woot! Worked for 5 hours to get this sketched in on Watercolor paper and then paint it in. It's my painting job for round 14 of the SJ Sketch Collab. :D This was amazingly fun to do!
I so need to practice with watercolors more.

Props to Pinali for this awesome sketch!

More sketches. Two of my friends had birthdays recently, and since they both were elsewhere on their special day, I drew them birthday pictures.

For my Ex, Trey Joseph, whose birthday is today

And secondly, for my friend Jake Chambers from Design Camp. The rose is from a design on his ring. His birthday was Saturday.

I've been on a fan art streak recently :)

This image doth comes from my heinous outrage that Lilly chose James over Severus. Why!? He LOVED YOOUUUU. Ahem. Anyway, this is what Lilly and Severus's child would look like if they had one. :)

And this stemmed from me just re-watching my favorite disney movie of all tie, Treasure Planet! There is no Disney Character Smexier than Jim Hawkins. Plus he shares my last name :D

Well, It's late at night, so naturally I got the inclination to draw. :) Strangely, tonight produced a quick self portrait, something I do VERY seldomly. I kind of like how this one turned out though, even though I still find many anitomcal problems. (You'd think after looking at me in the mirror every day, I would be able to draw me better!! )

The Lizard on the couch is my Bearded Dragon, Coconut. :) He wasn't going to be in there at first, but he crept his way in.

Critiques? Comments? Death threats? (Hopefully not the latter ;) )

Re: Sketching to Myself

Postby Applekai13 » July 28th, 2011, 11:05 pm

I can't help but post ths, even though it is definetly not my best work XD

Someone on tumblr suggested the implications of giving a little girl a BALD My Little Pony figure for Christmas.

"could you imagine

a bald my little pony

and it’d come with a comb like all the other ponies and parents would buy it for their children at christmas time after being told they “WANT A MY LITTLE PONY!!!” and the kids would shriek with delight and open them and there’d be this long, awkward silence

“noo dad i didnt want elegant baldy!!!!!”

And the urge could not be resisted. So here it is.

I can't beleive school is almost here! :) That means one of two things. Either I get an art class, and will continue to update this thread of sketch, or I will not get an art class, and will probably have less time to draw :( I hope it's the former.

As I am a member of DA, I enjoy competing in the contests every once in a while. This contest was based off of the "Create an image out of a scribble" game, and I love that game! I've never won before, but I will continue to try!

Here is my entry for it :)

I am so horrible at keeping a sketchbook! I draw lotsa things, but they never make it on here, or when I finally get around to it, they are months old XD
Maybe when I start art college, I can make this a schedualed thing and upload my assignments,
Anyway, The secret santa program just ended, where jolly times were had and lots of art exchanged.
o<{}: D
My secret santa this year was @ypc
->http://ypc.deviantart.com/(Deviantart) ->http://www.smackjeeves.com/profile.php?id=17490 (Smackjeeves)

She seems like a really cool girl, and I'm glad I got her as my santa assignment. I learned so much about her, such as she likes Okami and anthros, and has some wonderful original characters. She has several video's on Youtube, and that is how I found out she is also a very funny and beautiful girl :)

I drew her orignal anthro character Celine(?) I hope i got that right.
Posting it in it's big version glory here, so she can see it bigger.

Well, since no one really reads this methinks, I am finding myself posting more on deviantart and tumblr as opposed to my online sketch thing. But I HAVE been busy, and I feel if I upload all the arts I have done recently, I will just spam myself.

This post is specifically for Logo and T-shirt designs I have been doing for my school lately. Besides getting my name out there, it is really personally gratifying to see your design produced in real life!

Well, for any readers lurking out there- enjoy!

Design for the Auditioned High School Chior's(Vocal Ensembles) T-shirt. This was my first official project, and I was so proud of my baby!

This one is the T-shirt I designed for the cast of our Play production (arsenic and old lace). You might have seen it floating around the optimistic thread. The girl with the short hair and the wine GLASS in black is me.
Spoiler! :

Designed a T-shirt for the Art Club. This is one of my favorite designs I have done :) (Will be going into production this week!)
Spoiler! :

And finally, I mocked this Logo up tonight. It is for a group called the Black Butterflies. My media design teacher asked me to give it a try after her group didn't like the one made by a professional designer. I'm nervous, but I hope they like it!
Spoiler! :
My criteria was simple, elegant, and to use the colors black and lime greene

I didn't know you had a sketchbook.

Anyways, I think that your watercolor creatures and the designs (such as the t-shirts and the patterns) are your strong points.

Thank you! I really need to update this, as almost everything on here is from half a year to a year ago X3 And I love designing, so I am glad you like them!

Countdown to college is at 6 and a half months, and this means I must get serious with improving my art. I know I am taking basic drawing classes my first quarter, but I don't want to be the worst in the class.

So to begin, I tackled something I have been avoiding for a long time now- NOSES
