These are some rough sketches of the two new characters to be introduced in tomorrow's NaV update. ^_^
I changed Elise's design almost immediately after I drew her here. Not much, but I did change the position of her hair.

Thank you!
Nora looks kind of like Mystique from X-men when she gets older.
Right now she's just wide-eyed.

I think you should work on varying the eye shapes on your characters. In a style where eyes are so important, keeping them all looking so similar makes everybody look the same. There's more to eye shape than the size of the eyelashes and whether the eye is half-closed.
Varying their facial features would also help a lot! Just looking at your two most recent character designs, they look identical. The only differences are their eyebrows (and even then, only due to their expressions, the actual eyebrow shapes are the same) and their hair.

Sameface makes stand-alone illustrations easier to do since you're just drawing the face that comes most naturally to you, but in a comic, it will limit you a lot. For example, if you ever do a close-up where the hair isn't visible (a great story-telling tool!), your readers will not be able to tell who the character is.

Speaking of limits, you should draw your characters from many different angles when you do your character sheets. Profile, 3/4, head-on (like you currently do)... but also all those from above and from below. Knowing how to draw these angles will greatly expand your repertoire and allow you to make even boring chatty scenes look interesting. With your Alice work, you've already shown us some of what you can do, but I'm sure you can do more :D And if you ever get stuck, http://www.posemaniacs.com has 3D models of heads (and bodies) from different angles you can use as reference. They're more "realistic", but if you practice drawing from those, you should be able to apply what you learn to your stylised work.
Busy, busy.

Yes, this is definitely something I have to work on.
I'll change it up in future designs/pages.
Thank you for the posemaniacs link as well!

Thank you!
I'm hoping to do something like that for the comic at some point.
Little shrunken chibi-ish people, I mean.

Just posting some quick sketchy little things. I've been working on some different faces/bodies.

( Warning : These are all very quickly drawn/sketchy! )

I'm changing up the bodies in NaV. I kind of wanted them to be skinnier and more abstract:

And here are some sketches of Frances at various ages ( with frizzy hair instead of straight like she currently has in-comic ) :

No new sketches yet, but I do have a question!
Out of curiosity, does the style of NaV look anime-like to you?
It doesn't really matter either way, I'm just interested to know!

I think your comic has its own style. I can see anime influence. But I would not call it anime. =3

Back again!

I wanted to give Norah and Elise a little makeover. Here they are now:
( I think I'm going to end up giving Norah a middle part again, though. )

Norah:

Elise:

They've currently only been seen in flashback, but they'll be back. Sort of. One of them will be. o.o

A very, very quick sketch of Shirley from NaV. I'm just experimenting with her hologram's appearance. She IS a computer, but she appears like this to talk to people.
