I cannot get enough of this show. Gosh, I will cease watching any other show the moment Gumball is on lol the highlight of my Mondays.
What can be more amazing than a family of kittens and bunnies and a goldfish that suddenly grew legs and became part of the family? I can't even imagine what Gumball's kids are gonna look like once he marries Penny :| . I'm also very impressed by these child voice actors, Darwin's voice is perfect.
I, too, like Johnny Test lol it's tacky fun.

FUCK Johnny Test.

The only good thing to come out of it is using it as example of what NOT to do. Ever.

Wow. Johnny Test is a mightier de-rail than Spiderman when it comes to cartoon threads.

Back on topic plzthx? Wanna talk about Johnny Test and your utter hatred in another thread and leave this for Gumball's world?

So we got this fish character who spontaneously grows legs overnight?
How about we name him Darwin, I'm sure that kids will get that reference.

Yeah I think fifth grade was about when I read the origin of species.

well its more of a shout out to the parents, which i like. Most of he best kid shows have they're jokes have two layers of funny in this particular case

Kids: "haha the fish grew legs and became part of the family, thats awesome I wish that would happen to me"
Parents: "Haha he's named Darwin, clever."

Shows need to hit parents just as much as the kids if they have any hope of surviving, some of the most classic examples are
Phineas and Ferb: with all their technological and political jokes
Rugrats: MORE SEX JOKE THEN IT IS HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO NOTICE IN ONE SIT DOWN
Fairly Odd Parents: They have a good variety but as a key example I'm gonna talk about the wands and the wings, you see when a mommy fairy and a daddy fairy LOVE eachother VERY much.

Obviously they all have a variety but I chose the main ones they seem to focus on, or in Oddparents example the most obvious one

Greatest example from Fairly Odd Parents:
Timmy: "Cosmo! Wanda! Help! I'm huge, I'm hurting people, and I'm misunderstood!"
Cosmo: "Just like the IRS!"

HAHA I missed that one

Cosmo usually has the most out of any character in the show

Oh my GOD, my ten year old brother ADORES this show. We have no cable so he runs all the way to his friends' house just to watch it.
I mean, it's cute and all, and the animation is neat. It just, I mean, I've seen quite a few episodes and it's ojkay. I have the sense of humor of a two year old and I don't think it's THAT funny. But it makes my brother laugh, which is the goal I guess.

I kept seeing the ads for this show and was CERTAIN I was going to hate it. I didn't care for the character designs and it seemed like it was going to be another one of those shows where the humor is derived almost entirely from people being selfish and mean to each other, something I just don't find myself enjoying.

But I watched an episode while I was babysitting and, despite digging my heels in saying "No no no I won't like it! I refuse!" I wound up thinking it was pretty neat. I'm tired of the dumb dad/smart mom trope, but that was the only thing i really remember having a problem with.

I also preemptively hated Spongebob Squarepants and Hey Arnold when I first watched them, so I suppose this is a good sign.
