I've never seen a DBZ movie in theaters in my life despite their being 13 of them, and yet Evolution was a big movie that ended up in theaters and given the same treatment as just about any other major film these days. How many people do you think saw that without having seen Dragon Ball or DBZ? I'm scared to even imagine it.

Hell, I've seen things like this first hand. My Mom has never played a FF in her life yet is obsessed with Advent Children after I showed it to her.
Now Advent Children is pretty good. Some VII fans complain about it but it at least remained official true to the game, yet I can't get my Mom to play FFVII to save my life. (And she is a gamer, by the way, albeit one that hardly plays anymore.)

I'm just rambling at this point, but yeah. Film remakes might not destroy what they're based on, but they still do much more harm than good.

Yes. Absolutely yes.
But I don't think they should stop trying. We just need real gamers to be the ones pulling the strings.

I just realized something: Sports games and crossovers never get adaptions. Maybe because of Space Jam but I think they should try make adaptions of video game crossovers like Marvel vs Capcom.
And what about Anna Kournikova Smash Court Tennis. Doesn't anyone want to see her take on Yoshimitsu and Pac-man in a tennis match?

Call me crazy but a Burnout movie could actually be kind of neat... That'd be like, the one time excessive use of special effects and CGI would be cool.
... FOR FUCKS SAKE GET BAY THE HELL AWAY FROM TRANSFORMERS AND GET HIM WORKING ON BURNOUT.

Any of the Fire Emblem games would be cool.
Mostly of either 1,3,11 or 12. ohho.

Maybe even Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
...
I'd totally be one of the first people to see that.
Nintendork for life.

I think the only good video game movie that could happen would be a Miyazaki adaption of Legend of Zelda.
If they're going to insist on letting Michael Bay keep making movies, I think he should make them adaptions of things like "Darius"; it's nothing but cool ships and explosions. He loves that crap. And frankly, I would probably enjoy seeing those bosses on the big screen.
Somebody needs to do Metroid, too. Before Bay gets his hands on it. Same goes for Metal Slug.
But the main thing is Mega Man. I'd put Elijah Wood as Mega Man, Ron Perlman as Guts Man...I can't think of anybody good for Wily.

I don't want to see a live-action MM of any sort, and I don't think a film could successfully capture the atmosphere and feeling of the Metroid games, but I will say this, (even though I've probably already said it before;) If there's any game Bay can do justice it's BURNOUT.

MAKE A BURNOUT MOVIE, DUDE! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!

Soul Calibur, but done right.
Seriously the story took a nose dive into the ground since 3.
