So I've been working and working and working on this character for my animation studio project, and I think I've finally hit the solid design it needs. Which is this image here:

Today I drew this picture:

It's one of my new characters for this pilot episode TV show thing I've been working on the past few months. this is literally the final design of one of our characters, and it's making me SO happy! Anyways, I inadvertantly came up with "Robot Mobile." It was my take on Android, but simplified-looking like iOS. And I loved my silly little mockup so much that I went into Illustrator and made up an actual professional quality Logo for it!

For shits n' gigs, I ran it through an apple-style icon maker.

I'm in love.

I'm going to admit that I actually kind of cheat a bit. When I draw over my pictures in photoshop, my digital line work is so thick and my art style is so minimum, I can just use the paint bucket tool to achieve my coloring.

I have my top layer with my black lines, my intermediary color layer under that, and a white background under that.

With the paint bucket tool set to "Sample All Layers" and the threshold at 180, I can easily click and color on the middle layer and it looks crisp and clean.

Hey guys! I spent my entire day and night last night with my animation studio making a 24 Hour Animation, and I'm sharing it here.

Now, when I say spent 24 ours doing it, I mean that we began from scratch, came up with the concept, made and rigged all the characters in Flash, made the backgrounds, animated everything, did the sound, etc. ALL in 24 hours. Personally I only see flaws and imperfections in it, and I hate it, and it could have been much better. But it is what it is for such limited time.
