All I remember is that it had robots/mechs and looked like it was made in the 90s, and it had the characters singing... like a musical anime of some sort? the episode I watched had one of the character being attacked by a dinosaur/monster and the female character calmed it down by singing it a lullaby... any clues?
Macross Frontier? (I haven't watched that one but it's notorious/famous for robots and singing)
Wow, wasn't expecting it to be Macross, haha. Was Frontier the only one with singing? o___O
I remember seeing one of the Macross series on Toonami a looooong time ago when it had a goofy American name-change to Robotech, haha. Always meant to watch it someday...
I remember a dude and a girl being stranded on a spaceship or something, and she was trying to take a shower and he peeked in at her and she got pissed. Odd that that's the one scene I remember most from it despite the mechs...
*EDIT*
So I want to try reading Crossbone Gundam, which is a sequel to Gundam F91. I decided since it's a sequel to it that I should watch F91 first, and I'm now half-way through it.
It's... Okay. It feels a bit rushed, seeing as they condensed a bunch of Gundam plot into a 2 hour movie instead of spreading it out in volumes like Unicorn. It's also pretty fucked up in terms of showing civilians dying and stuff. D:
I'm hoping Crossbone will be a bit more light-hearted, but I guess F91 could be worse. The only real problem is the pacing, (in fact I can barely understand much of the plot due to the aforementioned rushed pacing,) and my personal gripe of seeing kids/animals/innocent people dying left and right. Other than that it's alright. The Mobile Suits in the Crossbone Vanguard are cool.
