I know you're not joking Ryo, I see it right now, but I'm afraid this is likely nothing more than a CN/[as] April Fool's Joke. I remember one of the years CN had a "Chowder marathon" going all day, but after each Chowder intro they'd play an episode of Cow and Chicken.

If you have Digital Cable and take a look at the programming, it says Durarara!! is playing right now and that Kekkaishi is next, even though Gundam Wing is on now. That leads me to believe it's a joke.

*EDIT*
Still gonna enjoy it while it lasts, though. I got chills just now when I looked over and saw the "Dreams" promo playing.

This reminds me; I also like the new site name. About time we got a rebranding that reflected our site's content.

Tenchi Muyo's on and I just now noticed that Ryoko is voiced by Barbara Goodson.
Ryoko is Laharl.
Mind, blown.

Oh, and this villain dude with the Green hair sounds like Judge Nemo.

*EDIT*
Oh wait, no, that's Mona Marshall, duh. Bad call.
She's Musashi instead, haha.

Tenchi's voice drives me crazy, though. He sounds like Kermit the Frog.

I believe it's just a one-time only. People are going to expect more Toonami but really, they'll only do it just for this day. CN's way of trolling people.
My Pokemon comic. It updates daily.. hopefully.

It's kind of ironic to see [as] playing YuYu Hakusho as a Toonami-themed April Fool's joke considering where YuYu Hakusho was originally aired, haha.
They chose a damn good episode, too.

*EDIT*
Wow, Trigun's playing later, too? That was never even on Toonami, but hey, I ain't complaining. Tonight has been awesome.

Wheeerrreee!?

Although I'd like it if they brought back Tom 1 or 2 instead of Brock Lesnar Tom, but eh. It's better than Tom 4.
Spoiler! :
And god forbid they try a new Toonami. It's existence would primarily serve as nostalgia fuel, so best keep the changes to a minimum instead of going for an unsatisfying medium between old and new. The way they did it on Saturday was perfect. Oldschool bumps and shows with new Blum lines.

I would appreciate Gen 3 Tom. Though I hope they follow what Tezz said on tumblr.

I mean if they gave it an earlier time slot and stuff then yeah, it'd be good to aim it at younger viewers, but that would defeat the purpose. If they just did what they did on Saturday and replaced [as] with it once a week I'd rather they stick to feeding the nostalgia crowd and play mature versions of their shows that couldn't originally air. It'd be nice being able to see uncut versions of all those shows.

Tezzle wrote:because that’s who it should really be for in the end

I respectfully disagree with this. I mean I know how much Tezzle hates nostalgia pandering but that's just it... Toonami's been dead for years. Reviving it now would more or less serve simply to please the fans that missed it so much. Younger, newer viewers don't know what it is to begin with, so I wouldn't say they're the ones it should really be for. If they brought back Toonami, I believe it should be a love letter to the faithfuls or it would defeat the purpose.
Bringing it back but geared more towards new viewers would feel like a slap in the face to people who were begging for it to return. If they wanted new shows and new viewers they might as well make a new programming block and host instead of reviving Toonami.

*EDIT*
Then again who am I to tell them what to do with Toonami? I'm not gonna fanrage over it and throw a ranty fit if they tried doing what they were doing in 2008, (if it looks like I am now, sorry, didn't mean for it to. I'm just throwing in my two cents, haha,) I'd just stop being enthusiastic about it and go back to ignoring it. I just feel like trying to bring back a Toonami meant for new viewers would be showing that CN missed the point entirely.
There's a reason the "newer" Toonami was canceled, as well as a reason that there was such positive feedback to the April Fool's thing. On Saturday night we saw Tom 3, The Absolution, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, YuYU Hakusho and Dreams. We didn't see Pixar Tom, Naruto, Storm Hawks and Bakugan. That's why people thought the April Fool's thing was awesome.
