Are you skipping cutscenes? That has a huge effect, haha.
I remember my first MGS4 playthrough taking quite a while, but when I did a second playthrough and was skipping all the cutscenes it felt like if I stopped to blink I'd suddenly be in Outer Haven.

Blah, didn't wanna start a new page.
Now what might this be?

For me, the boss battle for The End took 2 days.

I managed to kill him quickly enough on my first beaten playthrough years ago.
Spoiler! :
But I was playing it on easy.
No idea how he's going to be on normal but I'll see I guess.

I haven't skipped any cutscenes, I've only skipped radio conversations that I already know, do not care to hear again and are irrelevant to the story.

Good for you, it took me a fucking week.

I don't recall having too much trouble with him, actually. The bosses after MGS2 didn't usually give me much trouble... Well, except the fist fight with Liquid, but that was more like "just right" difficulty. Which I guess I could say for a lot of the bosses in the series.
If I recall correctly The Sorrow gave me the most trouble in Snake Eater since I didn't actually know how to beat him until I swallowed my pride and looked it up.
Spoiler! :
Also did you guys know about this?
Watch it if you hate fighting The End. YOU'RE WELCOME.

*EDIT*
I should clarify, the fist fight with Liquid I was referring to is the one from MGS4. The first game's Liquid fist fight was a pain.
Now what might this be?

I had experience with fisting so I was able to take him out easily.

Wait.

That came out wrong.

What. The. Eff. That video could've saved me a week of my life.

Speaking of Konami games, I played a bit of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow yesterday and was thoroughly disappointed. It just doesn't feel like a Castlevania game if you're not playing as an effeminate man.

Probably gonna return, but has anyone played it? Does it get better?

Not as painful as the Metal Gear fight.
Good god I hated that fight.
Spoiler! :
You should of also seen my face when he popped up in that driving part near the end. I raged hard.

I can't say because I've only played the demo, but it seemed neat enough for a cheap buy, like 20 bucks or less... And the game got bonus points for being narrated by Patrick Stewart.
Still no SotN, though.

Bah, that whole sequence was a nightmare. None of those fights would've been as bad if you didn't have to fight Rex twice, fist fight Liquid and then shoot him during the escape all without being able to save in-between.
Spoiler! :
And I know, right!? that part was awful. When I did it again with the first person view it was easy but nothing in that game enraged me more than finally making it through that marathon of BS bosses only to get killed during that chase. Those annoying little stops you have to make to take out the thugs before Liquid actually shows up only made it worse.

*EDIT*
Not MGS-related but GET HYPED GET HYPED.

Hnng... I'm so torn... I wanna download it and mess around with it but if they don't localize PSO2 then playing with the Character Creator will just be torturing myself. :C

*EDIT*
WHOA, HOLD UP! Check this out.
It's from the Alpha version but it still fills me with some extra hope for a localization.

This. Also, I don't like MMOs in general, so if it's F2P it better have some sort of scheme thing I can either tolerate or actually want to spend money on...

Did you play the original PSO? :O
Or look up gameplay for PSO2 for that matter? It's far from the average MMO. I don't know how much the second game might deviate but PSO is a dungeon crawler with a party system, making it more like Diablo than your average MMO. The gameplay is more action oriented, (especially PSO2,) more akin to a hack & slash than a click to kill game.

As for the cash shop yeah... I hope it's just gonna be cosmetic and unnecessary stuff. I mean I'll buy stuff from it anyways because I always end up doing so for games I love, but I hope it doesn't end up like S4 League.
Either way I'm still incredibly happy about it being F2P. Sure a GW-esque one-time retail fee and then free playing afterwards would've been nice, but I'd certainly take a cash shop over subscription fees any day. Especially for PSO.

No, but it looks very similar to monster hunter and the gameplay will probably have my interest. It's also other reasons that I don't like MMOs, my shitty Internet plan being victim to at least one of them. But more so the massive amount of money the company usually expects from you to have fun with the game, and then there's even reasons for that reason I have.

I enjoyed Guild Wars but stupid me bought the one that more or less required you to buy the original one to have enough skill to have a hope in hell of surviving the story missions of that edition. Only bought it for the sole reason that it was the only version where I could be an assassin class.
