GAIZ, B&W2 has a japan release date. It's the 23rd of June.

AND B&W2 OH GOD OH GOD! I am so excited~ I personally don't think making these direct sequels is a cash grab at all... In fact, I'd say a third version without exclusives and a slightly tweaked plot is more of a cash-grab than two brand new games altogether! I don't really get why people started thinking that. Is it because there's TWO new games and they feel Nintendo's trying to get them to buy both instead of just one? I guess I can kinda see that, but the fact that these games have BRAND NEW TRAINERS, NEW AREAS, A NEW POKEDEX, and a CONTINUED story rather than a slightly different rehash of the previous version, I feel they more than compensate. I love all the new risks and the coherent narrative is something I'm really digging. I loved N as a character in Black and after several versions of beating sameface criminal empires into the ground, I thought it was really refreshing to go up against a foe with a slightly deeper, morally conflicted ideology. Though, Aqua and Magma will always be my favorite <3
I think the continuing plot and the stray from traditional Pokemon update patterns is a definite step in the right direction for the franchise.

Oh, also, unlike what seems to be everybody in the galaxy, I think it's cool that they're releasing B&W2 for the regular ol' DS. That way people who played the original versions don't have to go out and shell out the big bucks on a 3DS to see how the game continues!
That and I'm of the opinion that if Ninty's gonna remake Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald (my favorite of all the gens), I'd much rather B&W2 be out of the way on the DS, so they can focus the remake for full graphical upheaval on the 3DS' new software! Hell yes! Win/Win if I ever heard it.

B&W2 have some awesome shit I see.

They added previous Gen pokemon into the pokedex, the General Dex is numbered 300, I LOVE the look of the new player characters, and your rival looks like a boss.

I like how the new trainers look in B&W2, but I haven't even beat B&W1 yet! I got the first 4 badges and gave my DS to my brother lol been playing Soul Silver on an emulator though, that has to be my favorite generation

G/S/C was made to add 100 new pokemon, 2 new types so they can later ad more for the sake of adding more.

Actually, the reason they added 2 more types was because Psychic was such a game breaker in R/B/Y. In R/B, they screwed up coding the game and gave Ghost a type advantage over Psychic instead of the other way around, and all the Bug types were Bug/Poison, so they still had a weakness to Psychic. Even after they corrected the Ghost thing in Yellow, there still weren't very many offensive moves for Ghost. So basically, the only thing that could kill Psychic types was a Jolteon with Pin Missile. Adding Dark, Steel, and readjusting type advantages made G/S/C less broken, albeit harder to remember what hurts what.

As for B&W2, I don't see it as a cash grab (any more than any of the other games anyways). And while I would like to see how the Team Plasma arc turns out, I don't know if I'd actually go out and get B&W2. I haven't played a Pokemon game since Gold for the GBC until I played Black a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed playing through it and seeing the storyline (as well as seeing Bianca and Cheren develop through the game), but after I beat Ghetsis, I got the same feeling I got from the other games after I beat the Elite Four in the past games. The feeling of "Why bother?" Most of the post-game material was underwhelming, I don't have a lot of people in my area to compete with, your main team is overpowered compared to the wild Pokemon, making them a nuisance, and online battling is so slow. So I don't really feel like going out and playing another installment.

So I'm playing Explorers of the Sky(Cuz of the extra starters and content) and I think I either am sucking or this shit got harder cuz I've never died this many times playing Explorers of Time.

I mean yeah, I have an odd-ball Type and my Partner isn't a starter(Fire/Water/Grass) but this shouldn't be nearly as difficult.

I'm a Phanpy and my Partner is a Shinx btw.

I think my main issue is I fucked my Partner when I get ground attacks. Magnitude and Earthquake hurt everyone except the user.
Oh well, Phanpy has more rock attacks anyway. Hell I started with Ancient Power.

I think the last time I touched a Pokemon game was... '99? '00? Lol.

I beat the Elite Four on Blue and pretty much felt accomplished with that. I relied solely on a Level 89 Charizard and made it through in the end. Seldom did I watch the anime, or the animes that followed. xD

Fun times, though, loved trading. I used to own Pokemon Snap back in the day. Wooee.

Phanpy and Shinx sounds like the most terrible PMD partnership ever... Mind you I can relate, I'm a Riolu with a Shinx partner right now and I'm getting my butt kicked all the time as well. Apparently Riolu's not very good in PMD.

I think I'm gonna preorder BW2 and do a blind Nuzlocke when it arrives, since Nuzlockes are so trendy right now. I'm trying to avoid spoilers now about the actual content of the sequels, but I doubt that'll last.

Phanpy and Shinx sounds like the most terrible PMD partnership ever... Mind you I can relate, I'm a Riolu with a Shinx partner right now and I'm getting my butt kicked all the time as well. Apparently Riolu's not very good in PMD.

SO I looked up Phanpy's move set, Not a damn ground move learned naturally.

Grated Ancient Power is OP as fuck MY partner dose some considerable damage to.....everything. She can clock 150 damage with Charge+Thunder Fang.

Which she uses frequently. Ancient Power doubles mah speed and raises all my stats, I think I'm prepared.

Hell when I beat the game I'll be maining Dratini. Who I have. She is level like 24.

Let's see what I can remember, um.....
Ice has apparently taken over the northeastern part of the region, this creates entirely new towns.
Also there's new gym leaders, AND more pokemon are introduced, rather than just the Unova ones.

It's set 2 years after the first ones, so it is a proper sequel. I'm pretty sure there's new sprites for the characters (or at least your rival..... Which should be a given, no more Cheren...) You also start in a new town.

That's all I can remember currently. I'll try to comment more when I find some new stuff.
