MangaKnight's Artsy Man Cave

Postby MangaKnight » March 15th, 2012, 12:54 am

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to my Artsy Man Cave... Wait? Are ladies allowed in a man cave? Ah forget it you're welcome anyways! This is my thread for posting anything artsy fartsy that I throw on a sheet of paper. Since I don't have any recent artwork to show, I'll show a bunch of unfinished pages of a little project I'm working on. I've been slowly working on my comic which was supposed to be completed last Christmas... Being the mighty procrastinator I am, the comic is postponed until this coming Christmas and possibly the Christmas after it too! So here it is, the first 4 pages of my untitled Christmas comic. They have yet to be corrected, lettered, or toned. My awesome inking mistakes for the world to see. xD

Should be no secret as to which artist heavily influenced my drawing style and no secret that I can't draw a background worth diddlysquat. Anyways, whoever is the first that can list the 3 little Easter eggs that refer to the artist that influenced me will get a character sketch request from me to fill up this thread.

Those are insanely cute. Seriously. :D

I can't draw backgrounds well either. I try, but it's always the perspectives that catch me. XD

A little drawing of Karen and I... It was drawn for my facebook cover photo... Note the awesome Sharpie calligraphy... Hah!

Originally was going to make a visual novel where the player gets to date me... but I got too lazy and this was all that was completed... I decided to compile whatever was completed on photoshop and stick on some tacky dialogue and we get this... This is an Otome Gamer's worst nightmare... ^-^;;

You're really tempting me to actually finish making the game. It was meant to be extremely comical you know. Since I'm often a social recluse and avoid parties, but I'm not shy or socially awkward; people often don't get to spend a lot of time with me. I thought it'd be an interesting idea to make a visual novel to show them what it's like. But, I still have schoolwork and my comic to complete.

I like the sequentials at the top of the thread. sort of hard to tell what's going on without dialogue-maybe they are flirting or something? dunno.

good bruce timm studies too!

Yeah, I'm pretty bad at making sequentials sequential LOL. They never seem to connect and just end up being a series of unrelated images. I'm hoping that I could find my flow after finishing the comic. You know just improve along the way.
