Now dat some sexy.

This won't be the last time you see her this way, either. She won't dye it in-canon, but there will be more black-haired Reina here.

More random stuff. The first is rather NSFW (softcore porn, derp.):
Spoiler! :

I take onomatopoeia super srsly, you gaiz. Dohohohoho.

Spoiler! :
It's canon.
... And Elinx is technically 23 here.
... And the haircut will be explained in-comic.

I actually drew that some time ago and forgot to put it in a previous post. The other two are really just little excuses to make a new post here...

Soooo I dunno who here, if anyone, has followed Blackjack at all, but around the time I first revealed the remake, I was still rolling around concepts for Shredder's Casshern-style retractable mask.
Well I finally sat down and made a solid design for it;
Image
It basically slides out in multiple parts. First the side, then the nose cover, and then the filter in the front. I was actually surprised with how it turned out because I was really just doodling random concepts and stuff for it when I realized; "Wait... I really like this one."

The only other thing I really have here is another stupid chibi joke comment.
Image
*Shrug*
I don't know why making these amuses me.

Sorry I don't have more than a joke, a mask and some lame R34 drawn for kicks. Again, been taking a lot of breaks from drawing and when I do sit to draw I try to work on the remaking.
Speaking of which I feel I should mention, just in case people didn't read my post about it or can't come to the conclusion themselves, the little bar in my signature is going to show the progress I'm making on... Remaking. I know, I know, it's pretty low still, but most of that is what I've gotten done since the end of the July Challenge. Just thought I'd go ahead and point that out in case anyone was scratching their heads about it.

Okay, okay. Lolz aside, I got something worth saying this time.

If you ever make an abridged parody version of your comic, I want it to look like that.

I now know what to do if I'm ever updating steadily and still feel like drawing unrelated/funny stuff.

So the other day... This.
Seven Rain wrote:Had a cool dream last night. One of those dreams where I'm not really in it, I'm just observing a story unfold... Like I'm just watching an animu or something.
It was the first dream in a long, long time that as soon as I woke up I had to immediately boot up Flash and jot down quick scribbles of one of the scenes in it, as well as the landscape.

Honestly I want to start doing it more often. It could be great material for drawings, even when the scenes are too nonsensical to work into any sort of context or story of my own. Some of them I wish I could, even though that would do nothing but stack more comics on top of the mountain of series I hope to get around to.

Jotted down a rough version as quickly as possible while the memory was still fresh:
Image

Went back to it later and redid it, full srs faec:
Image
Love how it turned out, though I'd like to make the pants more interesting on the boy, (yes, for those who've known me for less than an hour, the grey-haired one is a boy.)
Made his feet a bit too small, too.

The best part is I found a way to work this random little scene into a story, by combining it with a story that is essentially made up of refined versions of stories me and my buddy Alan used to improvise and play out when we were kids. So assuming I can make enough progress to start on more comics than the big three, you'll likely see these characters and this scene in a full story someday.
*EDIT*
Speaking of which, there was no hope of me remembering the boy's name, but I had a vague sounding of his gal friend's here, which has ended up being Amareza. The boy however, I have no idea, so I was just winging it and came up with Kiren.

In case it's not clear, this is a sort of "space room" within a tower. Dreams.png
In the dream this fellow was apparently returning from some journey and greeted by his flirty GF here. He was nervous about it but I can't remember why, I think something about someone convincing him she was evil or something, I dunno. Dreams. I'm never good at remembering them and amazed I managed to remember this much of it, right down to the outfit colors. That's not gonna happen again for some time, haha.

*EDIT*
I couldn't help myself, I had to do one more character design. This is Rizter.
Image
He's a money-obsessed half-cybernetic reptilian warrior. The idea was/is that he shows up every now and then taking random mercenary work and jobs on the sidelines whenever the main characters just happened to run into him. Think Uncle Ruckus from The Boondocks, but all the jobs consist of bodyguard work or beating the shit out of people.
Contrary to his whole "greedy merc" MO, he's one of the strongest characters in the entire story. The trick being that he only fights if paid to do so.

And no, he's not a Draconian. Just a lizard dude. Although this will be canon to my Universe.

Bumping with some Video Game thangs. Both of which were long overdue for some fanart.

*EDIT*
Holy hell, I forgot all about Link being left-handed before OoT. Nothing a simple flip can't resolve, at least.
And I spoiler'd them as well.

Hey so umm... Stuff.

Not much of it, but stuff.

For starters I whipped up a new doodle of post-time-skip Reina. This time with some test colors instead of all grey. So if you haven't seen her design from back during the Feb. challenge and don't want to spoil yourself, don't open the spoiler.
Spoiler! :
Image
Still got years, (like real ones, not just in-comic, ;___;) before this design will be in-comic so of course things are subject to change. Mainly the colors, but I'm really liking these so far.

Oh, and I know I said I'd stop leaking little remake previews here and there, and this technically isn't one, but it is some artwork I threw together to upload to YT with a song to commemorate remaking once it's done. I want to put together a nice little splash page on the site for it when it's all done, but my lack of anything but basic HTML skills might keep that from happening.

All the same I wanted a nice little promo piece to celebrate the remaking, and figured I'd share it here early... Very early. Again, if you'd rather wait until reveal time to see it, don't open the spoiler. Though unlike the Reina pic this isn't going to spoil any actual comic stuff.
Spoiler! :
Image
And I believe this is the first time Chrona has been shown from a planetary shot. Imagine that.

Another random pic I did was something I was overdue for...
Image
Surprise surprise, the father of the Carmine brothers is a Crystalis! Now I hope I'm not contradicting anything I may have let out in the past, because I was undecided on whether to make him a Crystalis or a Breaker at first, and for a while he was solidified as a Breaker until Ixal's past was fleshed out more behind the scenes... But now he is canonically a Crystalis. Say hello to Axal Carmine.

Basically he was originally meant to be a Breaker because he was actually going to have a dramatic run-in with Ixal after Ixal fled Ethereal. However after writing out the events of Ixal's past Axal failed to really fit as well as I'd like for reasons I can't explain. Basically he now has no backstory planned, and I figured it'd be more interesting to make him a Crystalis. Afterall, Ixis' docile nature is inherited from his mother, and because of the overly-peaceful and relaxed person she's meant to be, I figure it only makes sense for her to settle down with another Crystalis, no?

And sorry in advance to anyone bummed about his removal from Ixal's backstory and by extension the prequel that will chronicle it. I now don't have anything solid planned for Axal but rest assured I'll eventually get around to detailing why he's out of the picture in the main story. In fact I may be able to fit him into a certain part of the story very close to the end, so who knows, you might even see him in Ixis' story.
And sorry about the God's Fist stock BG there. I was too lazy to make a new BG.

ALL THREE OF THIS

YES

I especially like the look of Axal.
He looks like some kind of self-obsessed but broken primadonna douchebag.
But maybe that's not how he is D:
either way he looks awesome and his wardrobe is swag

He still needs a lot of fleshing out, but let's just say I've had Vyers in mind when designing his attire as well as his personality.
Judging by the impression it gave you I guess I did a good job portraying that, haha.
