Sideburn City

So here's a Joseph bust, I'm pretty happy with how it came out and I didn't even feel the compulsion to clean it up that much. Hoping to work it into a new banner.

Aw yeah, I was curious about how he looks outside of the banner! I like the torn edge effect - took some squinting to figure out if it's drawn or actually torn off but looks nice, like it's a photo out of an old scrapbook or something along those lines. Joseph having a secret admirer?! :o And yay, you got an art thread! :D

And I was just pondering on the lack of sideburns in my comics and how I should fix that. 8-)

LOL! I'm glad it looks cool and deliberate, I honestly just grabbed a sizeable scrap of paper and used that and wasn't really putting much thought behind it  And hopefully now that I have a thread I'll start making stuff to put in a thread???? PROBABLY NOT BUT I CAN DREAM

Hahahahaha. It is also an accurate description of most of my Sims neighborhood.

I miss my sideburns terribly. Once I get out of the military, I'm totally going to grow them back.

a thing I drew for Oly, featuring two of her fellas Jarvis at right and Teague at left:

I feel the need to repeat that this is epic!! Those terrifying 2015 glasses are so like Jarvis though this whole picture is generally spot-on, it's hard to pick one detail!

I'm realising they might have met many a new year like that... And considering that adults in the kitchen are their mothers, Jarvis's grandma and aunt and maybe a couple of equally boisterous spinsters I imagine they get sloshed while loudly discussing their uni years with all the details that would make teenagers (or at least teenagers like Teague) really uncomfortable!
Spoiler! :
Until they switch to the topic of their children and then even Jarvis is uncomfortable. :? PARENTS AND GUARDIANS, DON'T GO THERE

LOL THAT KITCHEN SCENE IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS PICTURING!!! And occasionally popping through to get to the bathroom while trying to act sober around "the children" ...

I tell you man, the new year's glasses should have stayed in the 2000's   I googled it being like "how the fuck do I draw the one for this year because I KNOW they have one.." :P

Also I really liked drawing Jarvis' fuzzy hair :P Not somethign I get to do very often outside of the military guys!!!

Yesss now I need to actually design them! Drawing families more is so one of the things I want to start doing this year (and the way your cast has families visible in some shape of form is inspiring!) because I have maybe a couple of characters with families I draw a lot and a bunch more where I have clear ideas of their families but never seem to draw them even though I should. :?

This year is a bit like those boxes of cereal that promise "a real football" and it turns out tiny and cardboard or something - we don't get a hoverboard but we get weird glasses...

I like drawing it too! Someone in his family has hair clippers and is not afraid to use them! Which only makes sense because Jarvis always was the kind of kid who thought putting paint or glee or play-doh in his hair is hilarious. :P

With permission from Oly, and since I haven't posted in here in a while-

Some context: Quinton has good reason not to trust Philip regarding anything that goes into or out of a person.

I've done other sketches but nothing that warrants sharing.
