It was unbelievably Epic.
The movie was done in this really great GC animation, so I'd say it applies to this thread too. XD

Oh geez, I know this isn't Animé but I really really like Nocturna and Triplets of Belleville, their... so... beautiful.
Also I really like Paprika, Metropolis, Tokyo Godfathers and Millennium Actress, which the stories and animation are all so amazing. ><

Code Geass Easily the best animation for quality and style.
Soul Eater For the originality of the style and quality, (although I think the style was more influenced by the orignal manga. Also the anime ended up becoming a massive fail. . . almost as bad as the Kuroshitsuji anime)

^Soul Eater had some great animation! I could watch the 1st OP/Ending forever. Plus, the fight scenes were fantastic. I never finished the series though.

Princess Mononoke's animation was great. I'm with Sai on Golden boy, and also a really great one was Jubei-chan and Jubei-chan 2. Great series, dunno if it was ever aired though, came out on DVD release.
