I know THAT feeling! Actually, I know it so well, I once wrote a short story about it: http://www.elfwood.com/~rgromes2/The-Visitor.3420632.html
Sorry, another untranslateblae one
This time it depend on that a portion of fries or a single fry can both be referred to as "eine Pommes".
Sorry, untranslateabel
It's a simple pun based on that the German word "Bank" translates - depending on context to "bank" (credit institute) or to "bench".
There might be parallels
But if he was told as a child, it just has to be true, right? ;)
English: Sorry, too many puns on product names to translate properly...

Tried it. It works!

Gesundheit
It is German and means "Health", short for wishing someone good health after he sneezes. Some people here now claim that wishing "Gesundheit" was unpolite as it implies, the other one was ill but I guess wishing people good health always is a good and nice thing ;)

I was skyping and read this in parallel. After posting it the skyping had to wait for two people finishing to roll on the floor laughing! Brilliant!
Okay, there are way to many bad puns in here to properly translate this page into any other language. Sorry.
Of course you have to know...
...that in Germany toilets sometimes are marked by "00" at the door. This is because in early hotels they were the additional "zeroest" room on a floor.
In German "Sommergrippe" (summer flu) is used for almost any illness suffered during summer time. In English it seems not to be so common but I hope the picture makes up for that.
Short explanation
This comic plays with the sometimes unintelligable pronouncation of people having a cold. Ducky wants tissue paper (Taschentücher) but Buddy is buying books about ash (Aschenbücher). Didn't really come up with a way to translate this, sorry.

E: This Comic gives Buddy's best reasons to sit down for "small business" as it is expressed in German. I guess the pictures can more or less explain themselves.

E: The third of three post cards I sent to a friend during his military service.

E: The second of three post cards I sent to a friend during his military service.

E: The first of three post cards I sent to a friend during his military service.
I don't know whether this works well in English. It probably doesn't really in German, either but sometimes I cannot resist stupid puns ;)
Es war einmal (Once upon a time)

E: The very first Buddy cartoon - drawn during a Latin lesson and immediately so successful I had to keep drawing.
