@GoneRogue: I think I just spent too much time around cats ;)
No, wait, there is no such thing as "too much time around cats"!
Nope. When it's about cats they consider themselves the center of the universe, so actually they are putting a box around themselves! ;)
Also works if you really, really like eyes...
Yay, comic!
Wow, it has been half a year... Sorry for the absence, there was, well life and other projects. So I won't promise anything, but there are two more comics in the queue now ;)
Goodbye, Marble! I can feel with you. When my cat died at the ripe age of over 20 (he was abou my age but we got him from an asylum, so we didn't really know his age), he was old and it didn't come unexpected but I'm still dreaming of him and it has been almost 15 years.
Cats do know compassion, the problem is just that they do not see anyone as close enough to equal to themselves to become a valid target for compassion...
Been there. Thanks for sharing. I found that it really helps when you realize that you're not alone with these feelings...
@Alvarin: This comment is now officially labelled as "awesome"!
@Alvarin: I'll try not to disappoint!
Oh, this won't end well...
For some people...
@Alvarin: Sorry, I have no idea. Didn't expect that problem ;)
Well...
In Myanmar you can go to jail for insulting Buddhism: http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/03/myanmar-court-jails-insulting-buddhism-150317 063346508.html

Considering that Buddha, according to Buddhist myth defeated an army of attacking demons by simply going on meditating, I cannot imagine a religious figure more likely to just ignore any insult and thereby surviving any assault with style. Seems like courts in Myanmar don't trust Buddha's awesome serenity powers...

And no, this doesn't mean that I like everything Buddhism teaches...

Now, I don't really think denominational religious studies belong into public schools. But when you teach fiction to children at least label it as such...
This might be a bit controversial...
...and by no way do I want to downplay the terror of direct violence. But on the other side we have indirect damage and there are 1-2 million preventable deaths from HIV alone a year, where religious agendas (and definitely not Catholics alone!) play a big - but difficult to quantify - part in hindering help. Of course, there are not only religious agendas.
Terrorism or war are very "attractive" for the media and "imprssive" for human beings, but they are not the only problems and often it's hard to tell which are the biggest...
As promised...
I mean really. A women is persuaded by a "snake" to do something pleasurable and afterwards she and her mate are punished by hard work and the pain of childbearing. Sure...
@Alvarin: Hmm, this probably wouldn't really have been a happy end for them. Then again, as they would have been immortal and reproduction and sex not really a big issue, maybe they stayed in paradise and are simply really good friends...
Flamboyant gays to the rescue...
Even if it wasn't Adam and Steve, who says that the story ended better this way?

Oh, and don't worry, Madam and Eve will follow!
@Alvarin: I'm still having some difficulties with Francis. On one hand he appears as a really nice guy, who has his heart at the right spot and has many genuinely good ideas and opinions. But from time to time he says things that remind me very much, that he still is the pope, e.g. when he forbids contraception in the Phillipines or when adressing free speech. Then again, when he says something I disagree with, he does so openly, while Benedict had a tendency to say things that sounded nice but were horrible when read literally. So in the end I guess Francis is about the best one could hope for in a pope but still being a pope I'm still no fan...
Back to something more light-hearted
This one is for Alvarin, who suggested to do another "Atheist History" ;)
@Alvarin: I guess you may be right, which makes things rather more scary...
