He actually reminds me, just a little bit, of the Mad Hatter from Batman: the Animated Series. Which is actually kind of awesome.
Hey, I was just re-reading this comic, and I just now noticed this: Rose saying, "You've seen another thing coming, Mister." The actual phrase is, "You've got another think coming." Just had to comment. I'm sorry.
holycrap GEHN

That is what I thought, when I first saw this.
Hey! I don't know if you would remember me, but I was on Elfwood a few years ago and trying to get a comic started, and you commented on my profile a lot. You were just getting your account, I remember you telling me....anyways, I just wanted to comment on your comic, and tell you that you draw wonderful characters and awesome hair. :D Backgrounds are, alas, also a weak point for me, but I understand that tracing over photographs helps a lot. Like, for practice. I know it's helped me quite a bit.

I really appreciated all the comments you gave me on Elfwood, as I was but a young and insecure teen who did not know a panel from a paintbrush. Oh, gosh, I hope I didn't come off as sounding too stalkerish....ugh. But, yeah. Really appreciated it. Is the gist of it.

And plus, you've got your own awesome thing going on here! Keep this comic going. Seriously. You've got something awesome here.

AAaaaaaand now creepy stalker person out. :D
I really love Rose's development in this chapter. While it is quick, it doesn't feel jarring or unnatural.! For that! Yeah!
I'll bet she's a ghost. Or something like that. Still doesn't answer some questions. But it makes me feel less confused, so I'm sticking to it!
Heh heh. My mother said basically the same thing when she visited England. But in a fond way.
You have a small typo on this page - you might have noticed it already? I don't know. But you wrote 'becomming' instead of 'becoming'.

Ahem. Anyways. I love your comic. And, um, yeah. Love the art style. The noses, especially. I have a hard time with noses. That was what I wanted to say originally. And the story is really cool, really original. Love it.
D'awww. Roses. Simple but effective. I hope.
You're very welcome. :D And thank you for That doesn't sound very complementary. Um...thank you for the words! Is all I can think of. It means a lot.
I know how you feel! Oh, man, I've never met anyone else who had this problem.

Of course, if I had, I'm not sure how that encounter would go...but still. It's nice to know, at the very least, that I'm not alone.

Very comfortable when I'm writing, though. Speaking of which - I love your comic, short though it is. Thanks for making this.
So, they're not flat, then? Or am I reading too much into this? Ah, screw it. This is awesome, that's all that matters.
Well, I've only read one strip and now I can't wait for more.
This is so adorable that it almost hurts. Now I'm sad that I'll have to wait until next week to see the next page.

I really love this, by the way. In case you didn't know. Because I'm just so subtle about these things. ;) Please keep it going.
Especially in 1600's-era Netherlands....ah, well. Fantasy is fantasy.

And hey, did he just climb in through the window....? Ah, well, that's probably the least of our worries.

Poor girl. :(
Can I just say that I'm really excited to see how you draw Gehn? Your character designs have been wonderful so far, but I'm interested to see how you transfer the appearance of character who actually appears in one of the games (well, in his adult form. Because Atrus is in the games, but since he's a child in this story....doesn't really count) Actually, I'm excited to see how you capture all the other aspects of the book/game. I'm way too nerdy for my own good sometimes... forward to it. A lot. Yay!
Woah woah WOAH.

Too far, Rose. Too far.
Hee his expression in the last panel.

Also, love this comic! Keep it going. Please.
I grew up watching my dad and older siblings playing the Myst games (couldn't quite master them myself...I'm lame, I know) and loved reading the Book of Atrus. Thank you so much for doing this comic. Please, please, pleeaase keep it going!
Oooo...kay. This suddenly turned suspicious.
