Ah, you made the buttons. I thought they came with the theme. Cool, cool.
Out of curiosity, why the decision to change the site's theme?

God your body language is great.

Unless you count Richard's accidental stabbings of Kila.

This interaction is either going to turn into a hilariously dysfunctional rivalry or a hilariously dysfunctional partnership. We can't lose!

@Anthony: Perhaps it's a balance problem associated with her partial-deafness in one of her ears (I can't recall off hand which it is)

This entire encounter is going a lot differently then I would have imagined.

@rosque: But how would that stop her from- oh nevermind....
@Brennen Sie die welt: It's an onomatopoeia. It sounds like "SSSSSSSSRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".
@Djoing: Yes good.

Haha, I know. Trust me.

As a general rule of web design, the majority of the important information on a page should be available without scrolling, if possible.

You might be able to make a temporary improvement by placing your description above the vote buttons so it doesn't seems so disjointed from what you are describing. Just a suggestion.

To be completely honest with you, I also liked the old theme better. I don't really like how far down this one makes you go to see the comments, and the single column design makes it feel more like a blog than a coherent webpage. It also seems to be a bit of a space hog in general. That being said, I can understand your need for expanded space for vote buttons and more intuitive navigation. It isn't like you need to change anything right away, but you might consider browsing through the themes some more.

PS- You might want to throw a <br> before your Formspring widget. It's overlapping the "post comment" button, at least on my computer.

I wonder if the alt text is highlighting panel 2, or answering Kao's question.

Just so you know, I'm not sure how Smack Jeeves has you enter alt text, but since it is technically an html element, it doesn't recognize carriage returns. People usually use a "/" to designate new lines in such situations. :]
@Cassie, in regards to the alt-text: Is that a stylistic choice, or a physical trait of these characters' species?
but you can pick ON your family.

Is the book case empty, of is it FULL of INVISIBLE THINGS?!

@avsaroke: Oh hey, I missed that. haha!

I like this Jesmaine so far. She seems a very strong-willed character, like Kila, but different... perhaps more optimistic? They seem like they would make very good foils. I'll be looking forward to seeing them interact.

On another note, I'm loving the bottom row! I love when you get creative with panel layouts!

And oh man! That vote incentive! When did that change? I need to be more diligent in my voting :[
