I'm being experimental again, as you can probably see. I like using more detailed inking,
like in the fifth panel, but it looks a lot better on paper than scanned. I might just
leave things like Carrion's hair until I've scanned it, and use Manga Studio's inking
tools to fill it in.
I toned this mainly in Manga Studio, which I think I can use well enough to justify switching over from Photoshop for the toning.
I've also realised, looking back over the other comics, that my character designs are a little inconsistent. I've hopefully fixed this by making myself some reference sketches to work from, showing exactly how their hair falls etc. so they should be more consistent from now on, although Carrion normally has his hair in a different style, so expect to see that later in the chapter.
On a last note, I moved the latest page to the front page of the site because it looked a bit empty otherwise, but I can't put my page comments there. I mean, my ramblings are hardly vital to the comic, but I like to be able to justify it when my comic pages are a mess, like this one, so I might remove the new page from the front page of the site again.
Edit: I've taken the comic off the front page for now, so I'll probably make some adjustments so that it's less empty at some point. Maybe a splash image or something?

After a rather long, unannounced absence, Relic is back, complete with a new page and a
new layout. There are still a few things that need tweaking, and if you have any problems
with the site on your browser, or any criticisms, please let me know. I'm testing out
having the latest page of the comic showing on the front page, because it looks a little
empty otherwise.
I should hopefully be back to weekly updates from now on, although I won't make any guarantees until my end of term exams are out of the way (they're towards the beginning of February).
This page was done over quite a long period of time, and as such its a little experimental. The next page, which I'm already working on, should be a little less all over the place. I've got another twenty or so pages scripted as well, which should make it easier for me to get the pages done on time.

The coloured version is now complete!
Three new characters are pictured here (although you've already met Sandi, the middle one, briefly). You'll get a proper introduction to them later in this chapter.
I've started to upload my other comic to SJ, and you can find it at http://citystreets.smackjeeves.com but be warned that the art is a lot older than Relic!

Just a note to anyone who has managed to get this far: I'm not sure how clear I make it in
the comic, but Guardian is a female spirit. The demon corpse she possessed is male, but
she will occasionally be drawn in female form (usually symbolic, rather than an actual
event in the comic).
