I spend my free time drawing, running and drinking copious amounts of tea.

End of Chapter 1!
So this is the last page of the first chapter!

Thank you for reading Gin and Tea! I hope you'll stay with me... :D

Eilidh! Why has your update schedule gone down the bog?
Well, that's what happens when I have to do either perspective or colourful magic effects. So when I decide to do both...

oh man he is so beautifully clueless
This is such a fantastic and original idea and I love it! I can't find a thing about this comic I don't like. Also, that angel thing is terrifying.

You have no idea how long I've been waiting to draw this page. To anyone I mentioned it to - THIS is the surprise!

Whoo, it's been a while, hasn't it? I have many excuses. They consist of Inktober, NaNoWriMo (which I won!), Christmas and sheer general laziness. But I have drawn a page now, so I'm not using the update schedule because I crave instant gratification and cannot wait until Sunday. Jokes aside, this comic does exist purely to be drawn for enjoyment and no other reason, so it's not like I was trying to churn it out. But I will see about getting back on track.

Colour will now disappear for a while again because doing the screentones is enough work. I''d go back to lines only but people seem to like the three tones that I use. The chapter covers will always be colourful paintings though. That's a promise to which you may only hold me as long as I keep it.

I did magic in colour to make it pop. Also because I can.
looking sweet! also mildly terrifying in lola's case. black eyes and extreme head angles ftw

(also the goat is now my favourite character.)
@ninaqueenbee: No problem! Yeah, motivation is a tricky one - I started G&T to have something to draw that was just for me, that wasn't too serious and I wouldn't get stressed over, but I can feel the pressure of posting schedules already.

I think all artists have days or chunks of time where one particular media just works. I had a spate of being really good at digital painting recently - about five days where the art just seemed to spring from nowhere. I was looking at my hands like "no way, this is too good to be mine!" I think it's good to always do some traditional and some digital, because neither is perfect, and it stops you getting too frustrated or out of practice with either.
My last comic page (page 9) I just did not like anything I was sketching on my computer, so I eventually gave up and sketched it on paper, and I liked it immediately. I want over it in ink, and still liked it, so I scanned it and just drew over it digitally.

I guess my advice in short is... If digital art is really frustrating you right now, don't keep trying to "break through it". In my experience that rarely ever works. So if you're in a spot where traditional is what you enjoy, draw traditionally! Style changes are better than ending up being angry at something you should enjoy.

If you ever need motivation, gimme a shout and I'll do what I can ;)
This is really intriguing premise! I know what you mean about losing momentum on a comic - what my first one died of. Keep it up though, I love it!

For those who are confused: the clocks went forward.

The steam transcends panels! Lynne is the only person who hasn't noticed her bun is falling out.

Also, shading!
And a new style!
<img src="http://www.topwebcomics.com//images/voteimages/linklogo4.png">

I chose a plain linework style for this comic because my last comic (Terra Magica) was in full shaded colour, and was hellish to do.
Minimalism is not my usual style, so I decided that I'd draw only what was necessary and no more.

And... well, I'm trying something new. Two screentone textures to convey tone.

Tell me what you think!

The character writing the letter is loosely based on a good friend of mine, whose handwriting was so illegible she used to ask me what her own notes said in secondary school. (I couldn't read them either. It was like shorthand!)

Ah, the voice of reason. :D
