I like to draw quite a bit. My favorite pastime is creating new characters. I design everything for them from their pasts to the civilizations they dwell in. World design is also really important to me. I'm slowly making my way through school with dreams of being a creative director for a game design company.

My only webcomic has been the works for over 7 years now and is at a standstill. I went from wanting to do art, to programming, to design to back to art and somewhere along the way I guess I lost my self-confidence and stopped trying to improve. I don't really find drawing comics to be fun anymore, so you probably won't see any updates anytime soon! Still, I can't bring myself to delete my only (attempted) contribution to the world of webcomics.

For now, enjoy my long, random comments on the comics of my fellow creators! I tend to type a lot in my comments so bear with me- I always have a lot to say. I also do a lot of studying into comic theory, so bear with my critiques too please. :3

@BakaShinagami: Haha, it's alright. It's a part of Kristen I see in myself too!

Kristen seems like one of those types of people who wants to love everyone and hurt no one, so it makes sense to me that he would be sweet (saying things like "my dear") and also protective of Aldi even when serious romance isn't his ultimate goal. Those types of people don't always come off as being that honest because they prefer to hide bad things from the people they love instead of addressing them outright, with the goal being not to hurt anyone's feelings. It rarely plays out well, but it's very realistic.
I agree with @BakaShinagami, this page could have easily been awful and cheesy and rushed but all the work you put into the character development made it perfectly timed and perfectly executed!
Cute page! Though the panelling on this page is a little confusing. I read the bottom right section after the top left because I couldn't see it over the "fold" of the browser window until I scrolled down. I don't think you need to change anything (and it should work fine in print), it's just something you might want to watch out for in the future. (^ω^)
@Tivi: I did not! I haven't seen Beauty and the Beast in well over a decade, but it's only been a few years since I saw Aladdin (and heard the song) so I guess it clicked with me first. XD
Oh my gosh, "A Whole New World" just started playing in my head for no reason whatsoever and now I can't keep a straight face.

Killing off your own comic is a tough decision to make, and as an ex-webcomicker myself I fully understand. I hope that someday you'll be able to revive it into something that you can enjoy working on again, and wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose to work on in it's stead. :)

It's his own phone, right? Maybe he's done it like that before. I can imagine with enough practice and the right positioning you could do it with muscle memory. I agree though, realistically a pattern lock would make more sense.

In a society with security systems as advanced as these, it must take a lot of training and effort to avoid having your face captured on film! Even with today's regular tech it's often impossible to even locate a camera, let alone stay out of its range of vision. Ra got some skills.

Ugh, I can only dream of being as adorable as that.

@RenRou: Hmm, yes, I'm fairly sure if you assigned point values to my previous comment, Kris takes the win. (He gets double intellect points for being computer savvy). ;3
I've just started reading and I'm very interested to see where this is going! Matthew drives me absolutely crazy, but in a good way I suppose- like a little brother. A little brother you can easily see learning some reeeeally tough lessons before he grows up.

@RenRou: Oh, my I didn't expect you to reply, now I have to confess things! Well, it's not as if anyone in the main cast is /unattractive/ I just find that Aldi, Kris and Val /very/ attractive, mostly because I've got a thing for long hair (especially red--and Aldi's freckles are some kind of adorable but then his demeanor is really sexy so it creates a good contrast) and glasses --and older men wearing glasses. I also like intellectual/nerdy types so there we go again, two more. It's almost too much. /fans self

New reader here, and I am just loving this story so far, not to mention the character designs. I have no idea how you've managed to make not one but three different guys that I find unbearably attractive (unbearably because they aren't real) and they aren't just pretty faces (and hair, ohhh man the details in the hair look like I could run my fingers through it) either, but actual characters with, well, character! I can't wait to learn more about them. ♥
I want to take this page very seriously... but all I can imagine is how awkward taking glasses off someone's face actually is and I picture them getting caught on Simon's ears and hitting his face, and then I start giggling.
I'm laughing pretty hard picturing the scene between this page and the last. All I can really imagine is him turning around, shrugging and being like "UGH FINE WHATEVER". XD
I definitely understand. It's really hard to put a lot of emotional investment into a comic and then when the emotions change or there's a fallout of some kind, it's hard to keep going. I've been there myself, and it feels bad to disappoint everyone but there will always be chances to do something new and wonderful that we can share with others instead! I hope that you can find that new thing and embrace it too.
There were a few typos and I'd really love to see the fonts placed in small bubbles be clearer (a different font might be your only option for that, I'm not sure what resolution you have this saved at). BUT, regardless of these things, I'm still really loving this comic so far. When you posted about it on Tumblr I commented "you have no idea how excited I am for this" and I was serious! It's really so cool! ♥

He seems like the type to chatter when he's nervous or stressed. Still, it's an adorable trait.
Everyone else joined under duress?? XD
