Not so amazing when you consider I switched over when Smackjeeves was down with no indication of when it was coming back. By the time you had straightened it out enough with the evil hosting company to at least put up an explanation page, I'd already gone through the effort.

WebAmused has move to Webcomics Nation

The new URL is http://www.webcomicsnation.com/jamused/webamused

or you can get a LJ feed, LJUSER webamused

I'll be setting up either a redirect or a tooncast shortly. First I have to recover all the annotations, and maybe the comments...

My friend Russell's version (which he posted as a comment to the first), wasn't bad, and had a nice punch-line, but I think mine has better rhyme and scansion, particularly when it comes to tracking the original.

"I AM A ROCK, I AM AN ISLAND", is still by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.

Well, either you've heard the song, or you haven't. It did hit #5 on the Billboard charts in 1996.

CYBORG (c) and TM DC Comics. Toy by BANDAI.

The song Cyborg is misquoting is "Breakfast at Tiffany's", by Deep Blue Something

And I said, "What about
Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I
remember the film.
and as I recall, I think,
we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's
the one thing we've got."

STARFIRE and RAVEN are (c) and TM DC Comics. Toys by BANDAI.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos" are Raven's magic words and the mantra she uses for meditation. Azarath is Raven's home dimension. If the meaning of Metrion and Zinthos have ever been revealed, I didn't see the episode and can't find anything with a quick Googling.

I got the toys from Toys R Us, a few months ago when I started thinking about doing this strip.

BEAST BOY is (c) and TM DC Comics. Toy by BANDAI. Don't know why BANDAI chose to make Beast Boy that flourescent green.
