Korant: "He's not a 'what.' He's a 'who.' They even have the right to vote now."
This is the last image that I have stored on my computer, which means that if I don't get my scanner soon, there won't be an update next week.

Oh, and I love how Lisa can go from enraged to a 'WTF' expression in seconds flat.
Oh wait, Pandora Hearts! But I only watched the first episode.
Kiss Kiss Fall in Love
Besides that and Host Club what else have done that?
...What a touching comment by my "Editor."
Korant: "I'll tell you, if you come with me. About the blue blood. About everything in this world."
Okay so the blood isn't blue, it's white. But when I think of discolored blood, I think RahXephon, so I went with that quote.
I like this image. I don't think I have any complaints.

I haven't been working on this comic recently, or at least not directly. For the past week, I've been working on images of a couple of the characters that I'll put on DA when I get a chance.
Korant: "3 Doors Down"
Well I couldn't use the Dylan reference again, and I didn't feel like any obscure movie references so...

I had to edit much of this page twice. My computer crashed, so I lost much of the editing I had done with photoshop.

I'm considering putting an end to this comic. I like the overall story, but it's kind of hard to sustain a comic that, as far as I can tell, no one is reading. Besides there are plenty of other stories that I could work on. The main problem for this is that I don't know what I'm doing wrong without feedback. Perhaps I need to redo the first chapter or I need to continue improving my writing, but I have no clue when I don't get suggestions. :P

Oh well, I have a few more pages left anyway so I guess I don't have to decide right now.
Korant: "Knockin' on Heaven's Door"
This was supposed to go out last week, and I filled the submission page out but didn't actually submit it.
I would have put it up late but because I'm away from my scanner for the break, I'll need to have a week or two without comics anyway, since I don't have enough images scanned.
Korant: Now that I've met you, would you object to never seeing me again?
I put a bit more work into that background than I did with previous ones. As usual with these kinds of pages, the characters are drawn seperately, but I like how it came out.
Korant: "Aw, man. I shot Marvin in the face."
**Note: Updates will now occur on Wednesdays.

Yeah, I've been considering switching the day that Blood Mantle updates on for a while. Friday just seems like a poor day to update one.

I rather like this page, but it pales in comparison to the next one. I REALLY like the next one.
It doesn't seem that irregular to me. It just goes to show that he values her beyond simple attraction.
Korant: After 10 cups of coffee, and you're still not here.
Ah, A late update. I'm out of town so I completely forgot to schedule this on time. :P
Korant: And the worms dig into his brain.
I like the way the room looks but I should have thrown a bit more detail in. Oh well. There'll be plenty opportunities to practice.
Korant: The name's Goodkat. You can call me Mister Goodkat.
Finally getting back to Kastor. He looks a little off on this page but I think it's because I went a while without drawing him. I like everything else about this page.
Korant: Requiem for the Phantom
That 3rd panel is a bit off. I wanted to do something different to visually emphasize how Corpus is surprised by Mage's response but I don't think I did that properly.

But hey. Experimentation is the key to improvement, and I like how the rest of the panels came out so I guess I can be satisfied for the time being.
Korant: Little Red Corvette
Actually I'm not sure what color that car is. I didn't put much thought into it. It is a Corvette though, if I remember correctly. I had to research what automobiles where in existence in 1906.
My friend asked me, "Why don't you just give him a Model-T?" To which I responded "BECAUSE IT DIDN'T EXIST!!!"

I love drawing Corpus's expressions.

Oh and I didn't intend for Alexander's driver to be Mr. Freeze. It just.... sort of came out that way.

This was accidentally released at 3 AM instead of PM. So there was a period of time where it was available, but I removed it because that wasn't when I intended for it to be released. Sorry if that caused any confusion. It's really just me being petty.
September 16th, 2009
My first thought when I read this: "Is he making her an 'Egg in the Basket?'"
Kudo's if you know what that's from though.
Also those bars look a bit too far apart. It looks like she could slip through them easily.
Korant: Roger, really. People say I talk too much.
This page is essentially just profile shots with no background, but I really like it for some reason. Maybe it's because Corpus's vocal diarrhea is fun to write.
Korant: Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable?
I enjoyed this one quite bit. I probably should have put more effort into it and had the stairs at an angle, but regardless I like how it came out.
Korant: Hmm... I didn't know they had a secretarial school. Well, I hope you took some classes in sexual harassment law.
This is a little plain, but necessary for the next page. I really like the next one.
Korant: It's like my daddy used to say, "In the land of the blind... the one-eyed man is king."
It took me a long time to think of a quote for this page.
Corpus is a fun character to draw, but his dialogue can be a little annoying to do. Still, he's probably one of my favorite characters from this series.
