So this is where the downhill slide begins. Sorry to see it, but knew it had to happen eventually.

What I really wonder is...there's been some really unpleasant stuff in the comic ALREADY. The rest of it's going to be all downhill from here? I'm......not sure I want to see all of that. But will probably stick around regardless because I love your writing and these characters.

Keep writing and drawing, man!

cheers,
Phil
@ct95: (speaking of his own relationship): "That's love. If it is important to her then it is important to me."

This right here is why I'm so annoyed with Lauren right now. Not because she has grievances of her own. They are perfectly valid, and she is correct, Sam DID make mistakes and do some things he shouldn't have. I object because she appears to be completely discounting his own concerns over Rick's motivations. Everything he says, she either deflects or dismisses as completely unimportant.

Well, it was important to him. Shouldn't it be important to her to listen and consider his point of view? I think so.

Given the Prologue of Pictures of You, we know that Sam and Lauren will end up together eventually, and from all appearances they're quite happy. Which means they will eventually iron their differences out. I just hate to see two people taking their anger out on each other like this.

But then, we're only human. I have the feeling that many things about this comic will get worse before they get better. Gibson, you do excel at rollercoaster rides.

cheers,
Phil
Sorry. Still don't trust him given his prior behavior. This is at least a move in the right direction, so I am cautiously optimistic that he may turn out decent after all. But I'm not holding my breath.

On a side note, Gibson, I'll be you had a lot of fun posting this update and going "ho ho ho, THIS one should make the commenters go nuts". :)

cheers,
Phil
Rarely, I think, has anyone earned a punch in the face more.

Of course, Lauren is now going to freak out and scream at Sam. If she goes to Rick and helps him up, I'm....I don't know what the hell I'll do.

Gibson, you surely can tell a story. Good AND bad, you tell one hell of a story.

cheers,
Phil
@Jeffko: Like Tarabba said, you tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. Most of the rest of us (me included) made snap judgments about what a dick he was being, but you tried to give him a chance. You're a better person than I. :)

Meanwhile, Gibson, I bow to your skills in writing a really, REALLY hate-able character. :)

cheers,
Phil
You know....this guy has a really, REALLY punchable face. And for fuck's sake, could you be ANY more obvious, jackass? "He has a temper". Even the one time I had a thing for somebody who was already taken, I never stooped to bad-mouthing the guy she was with. Good grief.

cheers,
Phil
Gotta chime in and say I agree with Christo and Kara on this one. There's a double standard there and I don't think it's fair to guys. Then again, when was love EVER fair? :)

Also, Gibson, bonus points for the Bone and Watchmen books in that comic shop. :)

cheers,
Phil
Many congratulations on six years. May there be many more before the story finally ends. :)

cheers,
Phil
I wondered if we were going to see any groupie action during this tour. Thanks for obliging. Well, sort of. Peter really is too noble for that sort of thing. :)

cheers,
Phil
I want to know when they're all going to the dressing room when the crowd is quite clearly screaming for an encore. :)

Unless this is a "always leave 'em on a high note" kind of thing.

Loving the developments lately!

cheers,
Phil
Oh yeah, this is going to improve the friendship between Peter and Mulligan.

(What the hell was Vivian thinking?)

cheers,
Phil
I'm not sure whose eyes are bugged out more: Peter's, or my own.

What an interesting development THIS is....

cheers,
Phil
Smart girl. This'll help the tour get out of the red. :)

Also, "Pointee". Heh. I love these little details.

cheers,
Phil
Congrats on the funding! I look forward to seeing Books 1 and 2 (and the other stuff, of course). :)

cheers,
Phil
I was SO worried they were going to get dead silence as a reaction. I mean, I know Peter talked to the record rep or reviewer before the show, so *some*thing good is probably going to come out of this, but after the doom and gloom foreshadowing I figured they were going to have a lousy reaction onstage. Glad to see that isn't the case. :)

cheers,
Phil
Backed and shared on Facecult! Looking forward to this one.

You might want to add some more interim levels (say, between $40 and $100, or between $100 and $150) that have quick sketches or artwork of Pictures of You characters. I don't really want the T-shirt (I have too many already) but I'd love a quick sketch of Michelle. :)

Also, it might be a good idea to stick a note on the main page of the site, just in case.

Good luck with the project! I think you'll make it in record time.

cheers,
Phil
I feel I should point out that Pip's remark in panel 3 needs a grammatical fix. Her ideas aren't worthy of "been" written, they're worthy of BEING written. :)

Hi, by the way. (Don't know if I ever said howdy when I started reading the comic...discovered you through Gibson and have been enjoying the ride so far).

cheers,
Phil
The question now is, is she really thinking about Peter....or about Michelle? :)

Still, a lovely kind of conversation to have. Phone sex is fun. :)

cheers,
Phil
You bastard. Now you have me hooked on this comic in addition to Pictures of You. And this one is apparently updated much less frequently. GAHHHH!!!

I don't know whether to hate you or worship you (and, by extension, Ben) for creating something so awesome, yet taking a long time between updates. :)

cheers,
Phil
@Gibson Twist: Fair enough. It's definitely a lot of work and if you don't care for them anyway, then there's little point. This is your comic, after all. :)

I meant more for the people who discovered the comic, then went through the entire archive like a whirlwind in just a day or so and were feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Um. Not that I speak from experience, or anything. :)

cheers,
Phil
