@LittleLynn84: Ah, I see. My memory's just bad again. Thanks for the links ^_^
I thought Chanel was the costume designer/wearer?

Are you sure that flashback was never posted? It looks familiar to me..
Maybe it was in the print edition somewhere? *gets up to check*
I don't really get this whole prom thing and why you N-Americans are so obsessed with it, but I figure if the writer is always making things hard for her characters, it's about time the characters make things hard for the writer. So I picked two who would be hard to pretend the school voted as most popular, Devon and Emily.

I just got my copy of Rain vol.4 this weekend ^_^

Chapter D's really interesting. I kinda want Allison to show up in the main story now..
Hey look, it's Puddle ^_^
As for the story, my guess is that at some point the rest of the group will learn of Ana's background, and Ana will learn that she can trust some people with it. Not without more drama though..

Kudos btw on Ana. She's been introduced relatively late, but she's already become one of the most thought-provoking characters.
@Sofia: "[..] pretending that their struggle isn't hers [..]"
That struggle has been hers for many years already.
"[..] throwing trans people under the bus [..]"
She's been under that bus herself and only just managed to crawl out from under it.

Is there a point when someone has struggled enough? Or is every individual trans person required to keep outing themself and taking all the risks that brings as long as there are other trans people who might need help?

It's not an easy question to answer. But I can't hate Ana for wanting to leave it all behind her.
@Guest: I dunno. That fear you had before starting transition, of being associated even remotely with anything to do with being trans, it's not hard to imagine someone would still have that fear afterwards, perhaps even more so when they've had to work so hard to get where they are. Only they know how precarious their circumstances are. It's not a nice thing to do to other trans folks for sure, but we're all only human.
@Guest: "I kind of detest a world where being outed as trans changes your life so drastically that it's a risk to be associated with others."
..is what you meant to say, right?

Panel 3: "estrogen" isn't a brand name, so it doesn't need a capital 'E'.

Bad idea, Rain. A school cafeteria is not such a great place to come out to someone. And from experience, it's better to wait until people know you at least a little before you tell them. If you don't, you risk being put in their mental "male" category (with a note "trans" stuck to it), or at best their "trans" category (with a note "female" stuck to it). Whereas if you wait, you'll be safely in their mental "female" category (with a note "trans" stuck to it). Might not make a big practical difference if they make the effort, but even well-intentioned people don't make that effort all the time (like when they're stressed or distracted).

@Fairportfan: Well, I'm not sure "I have to go home and freshen my ferret." would've been much less awkward ^_^;

"What about Emily? She's kinda in our group now."
"Kinda"? o_0 Come on, Gavin. She's been very much part of the group for quite a while now.

Question. When will we get three posts a week again? I seem to recall you said December. I want more Rain ^_^
@LittleLynn84: Ah, of course. I was confusing their school and home situations.. >_<
When did Drew learn about Maria and Rudy being gay again? Maybe I should reread book 3 or so :?

A little while ago Drew was still pretty hesitant about going out with Ky. Looks like he's getting over that little by little.
@TallMist: It could be called a TS ("twin screen") ^_^
Having been on both ends of scheduling hospital appointments I can assure you it would be very unusual for your appointment to happen on time unless you're the first patient of the day. a) many patients take/need more time than scheduled for them, and b) more patients need to be seen "urgently" than scheduled for. The result is overstuffed schedules are rule rather than exception.

As for the name thing, if this doctor sees trans patients often, wouldn't their staff have learned to call out only a surname if possible? Flaherty isn't that common a surname I think.
